Yeah, but this is the thread on Clarke credibility, and his testimony is - in effect - his response to the slams he's received today.

Thus far, though, I don't see any questions coming from the committee that go to credibility -- that seems to be assumed by the first two questioners. In fact, I kinda don't see this line of questioning going towards the 9/11 stuff at this point.

This was intentional. Pres. Bush was making great headway with Kerry's flip/flop image, especially after the "I voted for it before I voted against it" quote came out.

Then Kerry took a vacation. Kerry knew that the 9/11 Commission week was a good one to take a vacation even though democrats were questioning his timing given his slippage in the polls.

Then Clarke's book hit DURING the NCAA's on TV. This was timed to damage the President and to fill this space during Kerry's absence.

The mainstream press is NOW open about their taking of sides. They are part of the Kerry campaign.
