After roundly denouncing President Bush for his appearance on the USS Abraham Lincoln to welcome home troops from the Middle East, Kerry formally announced his presidential candidacy standing on an aircraft carrier in South Carolina. Putting these two video clips together would be a great Bush campaign ad

I'm sorry, but I really think Hannity is somewhat of a lightweight.
I almost choked when his name is associated with "Right-wing attack dogs", or "attack squad".
Coulter, Rush and Ingrahm - now those are serious weapons in the war against the lying leftists.
Sean is OK, but doesn't engage in hot pursuit when the Libs are on the defensive....

Hannity is adorable, I guess that's important. He is also an intellectual light weight and a Disney/Cap cities/ABC wonk who knows exactly how his bread gets buttered and by whom.
Thanks though for running an ad for his book.

I think we all have our role to play. Some are called to be attack dogs, some are called to be gentle prodders, while others of us post online and write letters. Shall the attack dog say to the letter writer, "I don't need you." Or shall the prodder say to the attack dog, "Your responses are always too harsh." No we are many parts but the same VRWC.

Psalm 73, I think Sean is by far to best Republican speaker in the media. I dont see Laura, Ann or Rush with a show on TV. When they have the top rated cable TV talk show, then talk to me. Whenever Hannity and Colmes has someone fill in for Sean, the show isn't that good. Sean is the best thing to ever happen to the Republicans for cable TV.
I didn't even mention his great radio show.

I think you're spot on. I want to like the guy, he does have some provocative points to make. I know his heart is on the right side of the issues. I love it when he let's Colmes develope some off the wall point, and then at the right moment Hannity interjects some succinct point which makes you think Colmes' tongue is going to flap around in his mouth like a faulty window shade. I usually listen to Hannity's programs (when I listen) right up to the point where I hear him cut a caller or guest off right when they're getting ready to make an important point. I notice that Rush and Laura Ingraham tend to help a caller or guest get to the point if the caller or guest starts to get long winded or tangential.

It was a great ad for the book, although restrained and understated. The book is actually much better than JH humbly indicated.
There are many who are educated beyond their intelligence with zero sense of reality. Hannity has the seasoned blend of common sense coupled with well rounded intelligence.
Hannity was mentioned specifically by the Kerry campaign as being one of two of the highest ranking Republican "attack machine" operatives.
What does it take to be a heavy weight?

Lightweight or not, Sean exudes warmth and charisma, (sadly lacking from the likes of Savage) who exudes the opposite.

You have to remember, there's that fine line on TV. You just cant make over the edge comments. Rush was forced to resign from ESPN, because of his comments about Donovan Mcnab. Ann's been fired twice from MSNBC, because of controversal comments. Laura's show on MSNBC failed.
Michael Savage was fired from MSNBC, because of making comments about gays. All Savage did was make a tounge and Cheek comments about Gays and he was fired.
Now with this whole Janet Jackson situation, you have to watch what you say.
wtc911, you said it best.

By the way, does anyone remember the Morton Downy Jr show in the late 80s. It was only for 2 years. But that first year of Morton's show in 87, 88. That was the greatest talk show ever.

I'm sorry, but I really think Hannity is somewhat of a lightweight.How..because he's not rabid? I don't really understand this line of thought. What would you have him do?...if you come off looking like some rabid, purely partisan wacko, no one will listen too you.
Maybe I'm reading you wrong, but It makes me ill to keep hearing this about a man who is out there fighting every day to give us a voice.

What does it take to be a heavy weight? I would suggest that possession of the ability to debate issues without resorting to soundbites is a good start. I've yet to see this in SH.
What I do see is a perpetual motion self-promoting adman playing to the cheap seats.
Hannity has his place and his purpose. That is why he has an audience. The average IQ is 100. Hannity plays straight to the right side of this demographic. That's fine, but I need more to be impressed or to consider anyone a heavy weight.

Sean is no lightweight.
He knows how to walk the fine line necessary to get a point accross without going too far.
Being 'rabid' about something makes a person unbelievable to people in the middle or on the other side.
People like Savage et al are ok for "preaching to the choir", but if you want to reach independents and people on the other side of the aisle, Sean's way of doing things is just right.
His ratings tend to prove my point.

Last night Hannity handed Michael Meehan his lunch. I enjoyed watching Meehan squirm when asked about the Secret Service agent being called an sob by Kerry.
Sean states, almost everytime I watch him or listen to him, that the Democrats are "politicizing our national security".
One doesn't hear that very much on television.

I was young but I remember my parents watching it alot.
