Dear Freepers,
There has been some discussion on the FR board lately about the current violence in Kosovo. Being on-scene in the region, we wanted to share some insights on the current situation and its background- as well as potential future developments. Please continue to end of post for a collection of links to vital stories from our archive.
yesterday's article begins:
"...The seemingly spontaneous street war that erupted yesterday between Albanians and Serbs in Kosovo confirms exactly what kind of a success the West has created in Kosovo. At least 22 people, including a French KFOR peacekeeper reported dead and hundreds more wounded; machine gunners firing at will, churches and mosques ablaze, whole populations chafing at the bit, programmed to seek and destroy.
...While the violence seemed spontaneous, now a senior international United Nations police official charged that the attacks began according to the plan that has predominated since NATOs 1999 intervention:
this is planned, co-ordinated, one-way violence from the Albanians against the Serbs. It is spreading and has been brewing for the past week. Nothing in Kosovo happens spontaneously.

The recent post citing Greg Copley implies that the Albanian-Serb aggression is a manifestation of a general Islamic campaign designed to pull the US from iraq and radicalize Europe. However, the Albanian movement is more specifically a nationalistic one- though to be sure there is some influence from more religious-minded forces (both internal and external), we cannot characterize it as a primarily religious manifestation.
However, much of what Copley says seems to harmonize with what we have found independently. Five of the most popular articles on these topics from our archive are linked below.

The Dems still claim Clinton "won" Kosovo and still proudly call it "Clinton's war". We knew it would come back to bite us all. The mainstream media is doing verbal backflips to make this seem unrelated to "Clinton's war".

Good post about Copely. I have always believed their goal was to take over the Balkans for their "Greater Albania". They've been at this since way before Iraq, and then along comes the team of the Sink Emperor and the Mad One came along, armed them and faught on their side. Disgusting.

Believe it or not, there are still a lot of people - even here - who think the Serbs are the guilty party in the post-Yugoslavia wars.
Which amazes me, because even my liberal socialist friend who soaks up every bit of Leftist propoganda managed to figure this one out over two years ago.

Historic tragedy of vast proportions perpetrated by easily the worst leader this nation ever had - Democrat Clinton and gang.
I hope that all Balkan-American Christians remember that in November.

Haven't seen much about this anti-Serb, anti-Christian pogrom in the "mainstream press," and when it does get mentioned, it's introduced by the discredited lie that the whole thing was provoked by unnamed "Serbs" drowning "Albanian children."
Guess it's because: a) the press is too busy scouring the world for anti-Jewish pogroms it can blame on the release of "The Passion"; and, b) two manifest catastrophic failures in just one month of the "foreign policy triumphs" of the "redneck Caligula" William Jefferson Blythe---first Haiti and now "Kosova"---is too much psychologically for them to handle.

I heard Max Cleland being interviewed by Neil Boortz this morning gushing about how well ole' Wes Clark did in winning this war. I about ran off the road when he said that. He kept attacking Bush for a war that was started without any plan for victory and no exit strategy.

Ouch! I just had a flashback to 1969. A friend of mine came back from Vietnam with his abdomen stiched up from combat wounds (VC grenade). The local leftists spread the word around town that he had been knifed while raping a Vietnamese woman.
It seems to me like these commie bastards (mainstream media) are using similar devices to advance the Anti-American, Anti-Christian agenda.

Those reflexively chalking this up to "Clinton's legacy" should remember that GWB bears as much responsibility for it as Clinton does. He did absolutely nothing to reverse the policy, and continued in Macedonia, to the point of strongarming Ukraine into halting weapons sales to the Macedonian government as it was trying to fight these thugs.

The result is a black hole, amorphous and irresistible, that is dragging NATO and the US into yet another quagmire- not good timing considering the deteriorating situations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, the determined little Jamie Shea is saying we will contain this.
Indeed. Were sure Shea is ready to roll up his sleeves, don his body armor and hunker down with the grunts who are risking their lives to end the violence which he and the other effete little chickenhawks in Washington, London and Brussels began. Itll be just like the way Wolfie, Perle and Cheney are pitching in to help the conscripts in Iraq.
Credibility alert! Credibility alert!
And our troops are not "conscripts", they're volunteers.

Tell Wes Clark the ICJ is looking for him, Their next hearing in on April 23rd.
Hey, Hoppie think this latest episode of overzealous KLA cadre will effect the ICTY ?
