Bush on offensive as Kerry stumbles

President Bush's re-election campaign has kept Sen. John Kerry on the defensive for days by employing an aggressive communications strategy that was largely absent just weeks ago.

The hard-charging approach entails simultaneous attacks on Mr. Kerry by the Bush campaign team, the Republican National Committee, the White House and the president. An abundance of Bush surrogates and well-financed TV ads round out the strategy.

I love Brit. The thing about Matthews is he is on a personal jihad. Every night, he goes after the Bush administration and shows the rest of the Liberal press how to cover the stories of the day in a way that benefits the Rats. Matthews hate of Cheney is beyond anything I've ever seen. The neo-con slurs he unleashes every night are unbelievable. The guy has been effective--there is no doubt of that.

The panels he puts together usually have 4 Rats and one outgunned, sometimes ineffective Republican. Lately, he's put Pat Buchanan as the voice from the Right--PB is anything but a Bush partisan. He stopped putting Peggy Noonan on after he realized how effective she was. Matthews is playing for keeps and is utterly unconstrained by fear of appearing partisan (Fox on the other had is scared to death and intimidated by its critics).

"-- it took Rep. Peter King getting involved for the campaign to listen to him. Doyle was the 9/11 family member who wrote the open letter expressing support for the Bush ads."

Amazing, and the lying crooked liberals accuse the President of using 9/11 for political hay.

Don't forget the mullahs in Iran, the Hizbollah leaders in Lebanon, and of course the newly elected socialist in Spain.

I believe it is a mistake for the President to respond to anything that John Freakin' Kerry says!

The President should use the bully pulpit every day to talk about his vision for the future and what are the impediments to success. He should ask for the support of the public to constantly call and communicate with their Congresional Representatives to let them know that they are aware of the obstructionist actions of The Democraps and the Liberal Rinos, who seem very comfortable in bed with the Democraps!

I have a concern that if the President focuses on John Freakin' Kerry, and something should happen (like a significant drop in the polls), the Democraps might nominate someone else, as they did in NJ with the help of the Liberal NJ Supreme Court (with Whitless appointees)!

In NJ, the Republican candidate focused his campaign against Robert the Torch and when he withdrew (after the deadline as defined in the law), the Republican had to start all over again because he had not emphasized who HE was and what his plans for the future were.

There are plenty of resources (like FR) that generate many repsonses to John Freakin' Kerry and those answers regularly find their way into the news steam, but it is done independent of the President!

Good for President Bush. BTW have you seen the latest attack on Rumsfeld from moveon.org. See below for the latest email from a friend who receives the mailing. She's a nice lady but I sure as heck don't agree with her politics.

>From: "Peter Schurman, MoveOn.Org"
>To:
>Subject: Rumsfeld -- caught on camera
>Date: Wed, 17 Mar 2004 10:47:19 -0800
>
>Dear MoveOn member,
>
>A year ago today, the Bush Administration was making its final push toward war in Iraq. We know now that much of what we were told about the threat that Iraq posed was untrue. And rather than own up to their distortion of the facts, Bush administration officials are denying they ever said such things.
>
>But this Sunday, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld got caught blatantly contradicting his past statements, and we have the video clip. You can check it out at:
>
> http://www.moveon.org/censure/caughtonvideo/
>
>Congress' responsibility is to hold President Bush and his administration accountable for this pattern of deception -- that's why we have the Constitution. But instead, Congress today will debate a resolution congratulating Bush, for (they claim) making the world safer.
>
>We must demand, at a minimum, that Congress censure the President. It's our Representatives' duty to formally reprimand him for misleading us. And we've got to demand it today, while they're debating their anniversary resolution.
>
>Please call your Representative now, at:
>
> Congressman Ralph Regula
> DC Phone: 202-225-3876
>
>Make it clear that you are a constituent, then let the staffers know you expect nothing less than Censure.
>
>Our campaign will be stronger if you let us know you're calling, at:
>
>http://www.moveon.org/callmadeall3.html?id=2467-3319526-D_9IW1Tk3jLoER4IwQoTvg
>
>Today, we're holding a press conference at the Capitol, unveiling a new TV ad calling for Censure, and a New York Times ad on the same theme.
>
>And we're taking our Censure petition, signed by more than half a million of us, to Congress, hand-delivering it to each Representative's office. The event is co-sponsored by Win Without War, True Majority, and Working Assets.
>
>Please help reinforce this powerful message with a single phone call now.
>
>Then, why not pass the Rumsfeld clip along to your friends?
>
>Thanks for all you do.
>
>Sincerely,

Kerry is not going to know what hit him before this is all over!

From your keyboard to God's ear.....

On C-SPAN radio today, I listened to a portion of Cheney's talk from yesterday. As always, he was excellent! I love Cheney, and I hope we see him out there swinging a lot over the coming months.

There is no one in the lying crooked liberal party that can speak in a "clear still quiet voice" like Vice President Cheney.

So true! I love Cheney!

Are we the only ones who see that the media is so in the tank for Kerry?

**

I wish it were not so, but FReepers are belong to the group that is an exception. Most voters are not motivated enough to go beyond what the networks feed them. Many vote for whichever Rat TomPeteDan, et al. tells them to.

Add the international socialists to the enemies list.

I was out of the country for much of the last ten days and encountered a well educated, articulate, accomplished Canadian who offered the opinion that "a beautiful thing" happened last week in Spain. She meant the socialist win at the polls but she acknowledged that it took over 200 innocents dying at the hands of the terrorists to make it happen. She was fine with that. I guess it comes under the heading of collateral damage.

It was a business trip but my wife was along(she was blocks from GZ on 9.11 and knows the score). She had never encountered a true communist, the kind I rail against all the time. She was shocked speechless.

Thanks for the anecdote. The left has always believed that the ends justify the means. We see the RATS doing it every day.
