March 17, 2004 -- France is investigating terrorist threats from a shadowy Muslim group vowing to retaliate for a national ban on wearing headscarves in schools, officials said yesterday.

France's interior ministry said it was taking seriously a letter, sent to several newspapers, that vowed "to plunge France into terror and remorse and spill blood outside its frontiers."

The prospect of terrorism isn't enjoyable, but the predictability of a nation of pussies that ALWAYS surrenders and switches sides certainly is!

If France experiences a large scale attack like Spain did, I wonder if they'll reverse that ban!

What possible reason could the Islamokazis have for not giving it a try? If a country as relatively conservative as Spain can be made to genuflect so easily, France should be a pushover.

And what makes it worse is that the Muslims have a legitimate complaint. The ban on headscarves is wrong.

(I must add that none of this, of course, means that France deserves the tragedy that is surely coming.)

Isn't it amazing that sixty years ago, Jews were rounded up and gassed for being creditors and talking funny.

And today we have Muslims making murderous, hateful threats and acting on them every week.

Maybe someday there will be a limit to peoples' patience. I do not think people are really thinking things through, and are forgetting certain aspects of human nature.

In 5 years they'll use violence to effect French elections. I figure in 10-15 years the Muslims in France will be demanding the removal of synagogues or some such in Paris, with more bombing threats. Then again, I thought it would be a year before France was threatened over the head scarves issue and not 5 days.

I don't give it that long. In 1974, our High School French class went to France. While there I took pictures of the Algerian demonstrators surrounding Sacre Coeur. A few days later, while in flight over the Alps, heading back to Orly Airport for out trip back to the USA, they announce over the PA system, that the Algerian demonstrators had blown up one of the basilicas of Sacre Coeur.

This type of stuff has been going on for a long time. They just didn't advertise it so much as they do today. IMO

In response to this threat - France will bravely step up to the truffle plate - and send troops to Iraq, but only under the auspices of Osama Bin Laden.

Everytime a western country puts a edict or law into effect in the future that Islam does not like, the result will be threats until the west caves.

Spain started it. The rest will follow.

I'm in fact really glad we could talk about it, and so please feel free to contact me. I'm sure we'll catch the perpetrators of the Madrid (or future Paris) bombings whether it is before, during or after their crimes. I'm equally sure we'll catch OBL and his AQ command staff and introduce them to a notion still foreign to them : justice. I gather from your screen name you have relatives doing just that. Are they deployed in Iraq ?

As I said in a former post, spare me your justifications for condoning future terrorist acts. We now both know how the Islamic bombers can count on your support for their next attacks in Europe or elsewhere.

True. But it bothers me since it means the Muslim extremists get closer to us.

I'd rather France, Spain, et al held back the tide.

Don't take it personally. The voices are sheer frustration with the attitude that if only we sent more money, invested in the Arab nations, built more schools, sent more teachers, planted more crops, gave more more more more more, pulled all our troops out of everywhere, abandoned Isreal, was more even-handed with the Palestinians, stopped causing global warming, and just stop being so American everyone would get along just fine.

We read it in the news and see and hear it on the media. We hear it from people we know in Europe, and since lots of us travel, are subjected to it overseas.

By and large, the majority would just rather not bother and live without going to war. We have enough trouble keeping people from flooding the country and overwhelming our infrastructure and systems on our southern border. But, even then, we carp, but they come anyway.

So. Devils and satan that we are, we say things, believe me, mildly compared to the rot we read overthere. No one wishes anyone harm. You may have missed all the threads of support to Spain after the bombings.

But, sometimes we just need to vent because while we see the long-range plan the Islamists have for the world, no one else seems to care.

So just keep in mind that we know what its like lose people to terrorists for no good reason other than our way of life, our art, our music, our history of Common and Civil Law and Bill of Rights, our nations with their balancing tensions between secularism and religion, and most of all our Freedom to live without the strictures of some religion that does not recognize Life, but values Death.

Do we support France? Of Course. My family, part of it at least, is from the South of France. I speak French. We have a shared history and hopefully, we all have a determination to survive, with our cultures intact.

The Muslim has plenty of reasons to be mad at the French--it is quite frankly (pun intended) a racist country. They imported all the Muslims to do their menial labor, and housed them in ghettos surrounding Paris. No more jobs now, these ghettos are a teaming, seething pot ready to boil over.

France will be a target , though, largely because it is easy--not because the Muslim is angry about the hijab being disallowed in schools.

I'd rather, too. But the creature is freshly fed on the humiliation of AlSpania. Do you feel its increased energy ? Their terror and tyranny does us no good--even when inflicted on cowards. They'll just get stronger.
