If France experiences a large scale attack like Spain did, I wonder if they'll reverse that ban!

What possible reason could the Islamokazis have for not giving it a try? If a country as relatively conservative as Spain can be made to genuflect so easily, France should be a pushover.

And what makes it worse is that the Muslims have a legitimate complaint. The ban on headscarves is wrong.

(I must add that none of this, of course, means that France deserves the tragedy that is surely coming.)

Attaturk banned them in Turkey --- there are solid reasons for banning them, moderate Muslims don't need to wear them, they are a symbol for the radical extremists.

I agree with you. As for France being a pushover, my theory is that they're a pushover only when something that really matters is at stake.
