Are you a FReeper with a good voice? Then PLEASE click here! (voice-overs)
Hey, FReepers! We're looking for voice-talent for these FReeper ads:
- The Truth About The Economy Campaign Ad #1
- The Truth About John Kerry Campaign Ad #5: Most Liberal Politician
- The Truth About John Kerry Campaign Ad #1: The AWOL Senator
You can see the ads, in their current state, HERE.
Basically, we can't afford professional voice-overs. However, there must be some FReepers out there with good voices. So, if you do have a good voice, please record any (or all) of the following scripts (in separate files - WAV or MP3), and send them to THIS email address.
Thank you for your help!
Note: the length of the recording must not exceed the time limit, if given.
Economy 1 (28 Seconds)
John Kerrys friends in the press are at it again distorting the truth about the economy.
They talk about todays unemployment rate as if it was high, but back in 1996, they called the same rate low.
And did you know that the first three years of the Bush administration, compared to the Clinton administration, had higher economic output, higher productivity, lower inflation, and lower unemployment levels?
Liberal politician John Kerry and his friends in the press are talking down the economy, merely for political gain.
John Kerry hell say anything to win.
AWOL Senator (no time limit)
Senator John Kerry MISSED the vote on prescription drugs.
Senator John Kerry MISSED the vote on Homeland Security.
Senator John Kerry Missed 64% of ALL votes last session
John Kerry... AWOL Senator
John Kerry - Most Liberal Senator (28 Seconds)
The National Journal ranked Senator John Kerry as the most liberal Senator - more liberal than even Ted Kennedy!
The New York Times calls John Kerry a "Liberal Democrat."
The Economist calls John Kerry a "down-the-line Liberal."
Liberal John Kerry CONSTANTLY voted to SLASH the defense and intelligence budgets, making the country less safe.
Liberal John Kerry voted for the BIGGEST tax increase in history - and he'll do it again!
Liberal John Kerry... wrong for America.
Thanks!

Just record the commercials on your computer, and send me the files at the email address in the original posting.
Don't forget to keep it within the time limits posted.
If we have enough entries, maybe we'll put up a poll at Naspino.com and let FReepers vote on the best one :)

Are you kidding? They don't need my voice screeching on there. I'm surprised there weren't any FReepers that into convulsion when I was on the air. That was a miracle. By all means, ma'am. Go for it. Just giving you a hard time.

But, I didn't see "snot-slingin' hunk-a-hamburger" in there, so I'm not sure I could do this. You didn't see that b/c Kerry got the nomination, not Hillary.

RPL,
Ask a FReeper on this thread who seems like he knows what he/she is doing to help you out. Plenty of smart people around here :)

I'd be happy to help out. (Been doing national and regional talk radio and TV since 12 November, 1976.) Should have access to a studio to do this right. Where are you located geographically? Please FReepmail me.

Don't forget to keep it within the time limits posted. Maybe John Moschitta could do that, but I think to get decent results you are going to have to cut a line or so out of the 30-second spots.

Don't know the layout of a Mac. There ought to be some sound recording utility on there though.

AWOL Senator (no time limit)
Senator John Kerry MISSED the vote on prescription drugs.
Senator John Kerry MISSED the vote on Homeland Security.
Senator John Kerry Missed 64% of ALL votes last session
John Kerry... AWOL Senator
=============================================
As a recovering free-lance writer and long time Toastmaster I can tell you this is much more a visual ad than a spoken one. As they say in the biz: It doesn't "scan" well.
The weakest link in the chain is the last line:
John Kerry... AWOL Senator
The word "AWOL" will almost certainly confuse the listener; even amoung those who know what the term AWOL stands for.
This is what the listener would likely hear:
"John Kerry...A wall Senator."
or
"John Kerry...A woll Senator."
or
"John Kerry...A wool Senator."
There's only one chance to get your message across -- and get it right -- with the listener. This "spot", esp. the last line, isn't it.
May I suggest a rewrite?:
Senator John Kerry MISSED the vote on prescription drugs.
Senator John Kerry MISSED the vote on Homeland Security.
In fact, Senator John Kerry missed over HALF of all votes last session.
John Kerry... What's missing here?
