CNN ^ | March 12, 2004

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- This week's deadly train bombings in Spain will not lead to a rise in the U.S. color-coded terror threat alert system, a Department of Homeland Security spokesman said Friday.

"Based on the current intelligence, we have no specific indicators that terrorist groups are considering such an attack in the U.S. in the near term," said department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse.

Waterbury-AP Mar. 26, 2004 11:45 AM) _ Homeland Security officials say they'll review the state's emergency transportation plan in the wake of a fiery crash that shut down Interstate 95 in Bridgeport.

With a stretch of highway expected to be closed for up to two weeks, Homeland Security Director John Buturla says the state's emergency transportation plan seems to be working well so far.

But officials see this as an opportunity to find out what works when rerouting traffic along a major interstate corridor. That's a major issue for homeland security officials, who say transportation issues are a key part of their disaster preparation.

Once again, we are way ahead of the lamestream media.

7:20PM commercial break ABC---> "Has a nuclear weapon been found in 4 major US cities? Find out which cities at 11PM."

BWA HA! That's the lamestream media for you.

It appears that escape from New York is now being taken out one bridge at a time.

I am sitting here getting those same vibes thinking it's just me being paranoid.

As the old song goes,

Too many dirty dishes for just the two of us....

Too many coincidences for just random occurrences.

Sure thing. Are you near a TV? Is the Virginia fire under control?

No it is not under control freeperfromnj. 3-alarm, 18 miles an hour winds, embers starting fires at other businesses and homes. Carver and another school evacuated. People without electricity. Fire department asking people to stay away. Areas being evacuated.

The Pentagon may increase the number of nuclear warheads aimed at Russia, the Oakland Tribune newspaper reported Monday.

Words that jump out and shake you to wake up!! There is a reason for this obviously that we don't know about./

Reference the Richmond Fire:

This is a large scale fire in a major area of the downtown district. They have the Red Cross helping dislocated victims, and a lot of damage done.

They are concerned about the fire jumping I-95 and entering another downtown district.

Only one firefighter injured at this time. Fire is not under control.

I'm getting the news right now.

Just for info:

I live a ways from Richmond, but I work about a mile from the fire site.

FoxNews: I-95 northbound lanes may be back open in a couple of days, but south bound will have to be taken out.

Definitely goign to affect the trucking industry

Northbound drivers scramble to avoid I-95 mess in Connecticut

By EVAN BERLAND
The Associated Press
3/26/2004, 3:21 p.m. ET

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Truckers in New Jersey scrambled for alternate routes, and shipping companies warned of delays and increasing costs Friday, the day after a fiery crash closed Interstate 95 in Connecticut.

"This is going to be a major inconvenience," Dee Smith, a United Van Lines driver from Atlanta, said at a truck stop just off Interstate 295 in Bordentown.

The crash Thursday night shut down Interstate 95 in Bridgeport, blocking the main traffic artery linking New York and Boston. The tanker truck explosion and fire warped bridge girders, and the highway could be closed for two weeks or more, officials said.

The Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers at Port Newark said it sent mass faxes and e-mails to members Friday morning, advising them to reroute New England-bound trucks.
"We're talking about several hundred a day" being diverted, said Dick Jones, the association's executive director. "Every delay adds to costs, but the industry is pretty flexible."
