Waterbury-AP Mar. 26, 2004 11:45 AM) _ Homeland Security officials say they'll review the state's emergency transportation plan in the wake of a fiery crash that shut down Interstate 95 in Bridgeport.

With a stretch of highway expected to be closed for up to two weeks, Homeland Security Director John Buturla says the state's emergency transportation plan seems to be working well so far.

But officials see this as an opportunity to find out what works when rerouting traffic along a major interstate corridor. That's a major issue for homeland security officials, who say transportation issues are a key part of their disaster preparation.
