A recent query to Cotecna, asking for at least some detail on ties to Kojo Annan, elicits nothing beyond the reply that: "There is nothing else to add." Kofi and Kojo are goin' down harder than Cujo.

Thanks for the ping!
Remember the Iraqi governing Council asked the UN for an audit and accounting of the oil for food program. You can bet they know who was on the take. That letter was not a nice diplomatic request it was a demand.
We all saw the warehouses of food and goods that Saddam kept from the people.
With hope this is the beginning of the reckoning and wreck-oning of the United Nations.

- Kerry's "gaffe" and his defiant apologies
- Spain's 3/11
- Demo (Carole Mostly-Fraud, among many others) staffer involved in treason
- Annan's own son caught dipping into oil for food
- An Illinois version of Geraldine Ferraro's husband
Speaking of Illinois, the current incarnation of Mayor Daley slammed Kerry for his intemperant remarks.

Anyplace the "Kerry Postage Stamp" you posted is available as a bumper sticker?

This is very interesting. This along with the fact that Kofi Anan has allowed countries like Syria and Libya on the Human Right's Commission at U.N., is all the more reason why the U.S. needs to call for Anan to resign. His tenure at the U.N. has marginalized the organization, culminating with the Iraq situation. In truth Anan has done far more the marginalize the U.N. than anyone else, including President Bush.

When you think about it, all of this stuff explains the absolute hysteria of the left WORLDWIDE, when GW Bush won the presidency. Their collective cover was blown.

And the link to the National Review story you posted:
Kojo & Kofi
Unbelievable U.N. stories.
http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/rosett200403101819.asp "That's fascinating, not least given the ties of Annan's own son, Kojo Annan, to the Switzerland-based firm, Cotecna, which from 1999 onward worked on contract for the U.N. monitoring the shipments of Oil-for-food supplies into Iraq. These were the same supplies sent in under terms of those tens of billions of dollars worth of U.N.-approved contracts in which the U.N. says it failed to notice Saddam Hussein's widespread arrangements to overpay contractors who then shipped overpriced goods to the impoverished people of Iraq and kicked back part of their profits to Saddam's regime. "
NO wonder all of these people were trying to keep Saddam in power - he was their golden goose, and what did they care, if Saddam may nuke the US or Israel, or send us anthrax, or destabilize the entire Middle East, just as long as they kept their bribes coming!

As I recollect, before Kofi was Sec. General, he was the lead figure in creating the oil for food scheme.
Probably got a position bump from France, etc. for his work.
BTW, I think a way to look at oil for food is a neo-colonialism, the UN's colonialism of Iraq, extracting wealth with the convenient help of a localo factotum.
