Vanity, Met Hannity, passed on a burned CD Russert-Kerry warcrimes interview!

I met Sean Hannity in Wichita today. In person he is actually a very cool guy. He rarely repeated himself, gave a funny, pointed, and highly political speech, and of course, signed books.
I got both of mine signed. But the point of this thread is - The NBC Meet the Press Tim Russert interview that was posted a couple of days ago, that someone had found in his old stockpile of tapes from May 2001.
In this interview, Russert plays an audio clip from the April 17, 1971 congressional hearings in which Kerry admits to warcrimes. And then asks Kerry about it.
Supposedly this is the interview that NBC has been sitting on since candidacy.
In the thread, people were downloading it, gasping at it, and insisting this must make it into the news somehow. I managed to grab it as well, after a bit the link went dead due to excessive bandwidth usage.
I have it posted on my site now, given to select friends, but have not publically released the link for the same reasons. However, I WANTED this to get out.
And it came to me. I was meeting Hannity soon [today]. I burned the interview to a CD-R disc. I wrote out on the sleeve what the interview was, where to get it on my site in case the disc is scratched or broken, and my email for further contact info (never know).
When I got up in the booksigning line to meet Sean, he looked down and started to sign my book as I held out the CD jacket to him and said, "Sean, this is serious. This is an NBC Meet the Press interview with Kerry. Russert plays clips of him admitting to warcrimes, and then asks Kerry about it."
Sean took the disc, looked at it, and looked at me with a stern and serious look. After a short pause he asked, "The old one?"
I wasn't quite sure what he meant by that, so I said, "Its supposedly from May of 2001."
Another short pause, he took the disk and gave it to Sweet Baby James, then pointed his pen at him and said quickly, "Save that! Mark it down as Kerry on Meet the Press."
Sean finished signing my book and gave it back to me, I said, "Just doing what I can to bring him down."
He looked back and said sincerely, "Thank you. This is what we are trying to do."
Now one can only hope that Sean can get this confirmed, approved, and aired. It may, it may take a while, or it may never, I don't know.
But it may be a critical key to bringing Kerry down.

Great thinking, and thanks for the report!
Side note, my kids and I met Sean the first time he was at the Nixon Library, when his first book came out, and I was impressed with how sincere he was and the way he went out of his way to engage each of my 4 children in a moment of conversation. Very classy guy.

I like the poll on this great site.
Should a man who falsely accused American troops of atrocities serve as Commander-in-Chief?
Sure 759 (6.46%)
No 1122 (9.55%)
Hell, no 9869 (83.99%)

I think the "Sure" votes are inflated just a bit. They jumped from 2% to 4.5% in about an hour a couple of days ago.
Still, the overall sentiment of the pollees seems pretty clear.

If you hit the abuse button on yourself, the mods will change it for you. For future reference in case I need this information, where exactly is the abuse button located on myself?

Perhaps you can ask him about it if you get a chance. It can be hard though, there were so many people there. It was sold out completely. It was a huge line, and by the time I was finished, I was somewhat shaking. Not that I was starstruck or anything, but that I spent so much time worrying about what to say, how to say it, and how to say it quickly, and whether if he would understand and take it.
I really believe if he confirms its legitimacy, and IF he airs this sucker, it'll be just one more bad mark to drop Kerry's numbers.

OUTSTANDING job! We've got to get things like this out to the mainstream press SOMEHOW and get people to hear it. If we (the people who will vote for Bush anyway) are the only ones that know, it's useless.
By the way, I met Sean also in GA...very nice guy.

Could you maybe pass the file along to Vietnam Vets against Kerry? Maybe they'd want to post it on their site.

In all seriousness, as opposed to seriesness, to have the mods change or fix a title, use the "report abuse" link that's right below the article. They're not likely to see "please change this" posts buried in the thread. You can also use this link to report duplicate threads or threads where the poster changed the source article's title. (Changed titles almost always lead to duplicate threads.) On some breaking news stories, it's also very handy to have the mods update the title as the story evolves.
And, of course, this is the link you should use to report threads that are in serious need of a proper ZOT!

Thank you for your serious reply.
Unfortunately, I was being a joker.
You wrote, "If you hit the abuse button on yourself", and I was wondering, Where ON MYSELF is this abuse button located?
I know its location on the forum. ;-)
