Gays in the Military (1993)
"Don't ask, don't tell" policy regarding homosexuals reaffirmed and codified in military regulation. This revolutionary decision ushers in an era of reduced tensions in America regarding acceptance of homosexuals into society. Further, this renewed focus on the privacy of homosexuals' own affairs satisfies the needs of this group, and brings calm to a heated debate.
World Trade Center Bombing (1993)
Violence and terror strikes New York City as a horrific explosion detonates in the garage beneath the World Trade Center. A swift apprehension and just prosecution of the direct perpetrators of the act ensures that New York and the World Trade Center will remain free from the fear of any such future horrors.
Waco, Texas (1993)
A 51-day standoff between law enforcement officials and members of the Branch Davidian religious cult ends when federal agents storm the complex, resulting in the elimination of the threat. Further such care and restraint would be repeated in the later Elian Gonzales standoff.
Middle East Peace Agreement (1993)
Clinton brokered and finalized a historic peace agreement between Israeli Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat, ushering in a new era of peace and cooperation in the Middle East.
NAFTA (1993)
Clinton signs the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) into law on December 8, 1993. Lower (and in some cases, elimated) tariffs and eased trade restrictions usher in a new era of free trade between Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. The landmark bipartisan effort to enact NAFTA as law is cheered by President Clinton, and Democrats and Republicans look forward to a new era of cooperation in future free trade efforts.
Haiti and President Arisitide (1994)
The threat of both military force and imposed regime change successfully causes the overthrow of Haitian dictators, restoring Jean-Bertrand Aristide to power in Haiti on October 15, 1994. Haiti enjoys its renewed era of democracy and peace.
North Korea Nuclear Pact (1994)
Clinton ordered the US-North Korea nuclear pact, which ensured the dismantling of North Korea's nuclear weapons program, making the world safer with the removal of this dangerous weapons from the area. North Korea, in exchange is given funds to develop two nuclear reactors, for purely peaceful purposes
Communications Decency Act (1996)
Clinton signs into law the Communications Decency Act on Febrarury 7, ushering in a new era of decency and reduction of sexually explicit material available to minors on online computer networks.
Saudi Arabia Terror Attack (1996)
A truck bomb explodes near a U.S. military complex in Dharahn, Saudi Arabia, on June 25, 1996. 19 servicemen die in the attack, the worst such casualties since the 1983 attack on Marine barracks in Beirut. Clinton vows that those responsible will be brought to justice. The attacks are later connected to a man named Osama bin Laden.
Iraq Military Strike (1998)
Clinton orders a "substantial" military strike on Iraq in effort to both neutralize illegal weapons buildups and to rectify Saddam Hussein's continued defiance of the United Nations. This ensures that the weapons inspections will have real meaning and be able to resume at some point in the near future, also holding Hussein accountable for his defiance.
U.S. Embassy Terror Attacks (1998)
Dual explosions rocked the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Hundreds of people were killed, with many thousands injured. Clinton retaliated against the suspected perpetrator, Osama bin Laden, by ordering cruise missile attacks at his terror training camps in Afghanistan. Also ordered was the destruction of a suspected chemical weapons plant in Sudan, which was later found to be based on faulty intelligence. Regardless of this, Clinton's heroic and decisive response to the terror threat posed by bin Laden made sure that they were held accountable, with a 238-count indictment made against bin Laden and other fugitive suspects.
Impeachment (1998)
Clinton became only the second President in U.S. history to be impeached. His response was a heroic and and steadfast defense of the privacy of his personal affairs (no pun intended -- that's not funny), and a determination to continue with the important work of his Presidency.
Microsoft Antritrust Trial (1999)
Clinton's Justice Department mounts an agressive antitrust case against Microsoft, accusing the software company of harmful monopoly practices. Despite criticism that Microsoft is a major economic engine, the Clinton administration counters with the signs of booming economy's uninterrupted continuation and the bold new era of a "New Economy" where the old rules no longer apply.
Kosovo War (1999)
The U.S.-led NATO action in Kosovo insured that an oppresed people would not be held hostage by their own corrupt leader. The military action began on March 24, a just unilateral war to restore freedom to people that needed our help. Slobodan Milosevic was eventually pushed out of power the following year, effecting regime change.
Clinton became only the second President in U.S. history to be impeached. His response was a heroic and and steadfast defense of the privacy of his personal affairs (no pun intended -- that's not funny), and a determination to continue with the important work of his Presidency.
This one is better:
Impeachment (1998)
Clinton became the only ELECTED President in U.S. history to be impeached. His response was a heroic and and steadfast defense of the privacy of his personal affairs (no pun intended -- that's not funny), and a determination to continue with the important work of his Presidency.

A rubber in every wallet?
"World Trade Center will remain free from the fear of any such future horrors"This post was done tongue-in-cheek. Later entries praise Clinton's response to other attacks, and applaud the long list of criminal charges brought against Osama bin Laden after later terrorist actions. These are not my opinions at all, rather a (perhaps unsuccessful) attempt at wry humor, and to illustrate the point that Clinton's actions as President left a lot of issues unresolved for President Bush to deal with. Bill Clinton had a maddening persistence on legislating via polls and popular opininion, ignoring the big picture and avoiding any attempts at real solutions to big problems. That is the single best denial of history I have ever seen in writing. Yep, Bill sure did see that there would be no future horrors at WTC. Yep, he sure did.
My response to her was that "you just stated EXACTLY how I felt for eight long, grueling years of the Clintonistas."
And here is the kicker: she responded by asking "how did Clinton adversly affect your life?"
Besides the long laundry list of things I am going to write back, does anyone else want in on this softball question??
