I'm no fan of Hitlery, but what she says (you have in red) is accurate. If the religous islamists take control of the elections, Iraqi womens rights may be less than what they had under Sadam which would be a sad testimony for our 'investment' over there.

:According to "The Washington Post" and I quote, "The Bush Administration ignored their planning, fired planners who disagreed with it and in several instances barred Pentagon officials from attending meeting with planners suspected of harboring thoughts not approved by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld." That is a chilling indictment of this Administration. Only in Washington is the reward for being bright getting fired. Hillary quotes the Washington Post. So who was the Washington Post quoting? Nobody.
Hillary is not very clever when she lauders her sources.

Great find!
Hillary also seems to think the Afghan women were better off under the Taliban!

I am working my way reading the whole thing.
I highly recommend that other read it too, while her comments about the women being better off under Saddam and the Taliban are outrageous, those are not her only outrageous statements.
She is absolutely amazing -- blaming Bush for not having fixed the problems created by 8 years of neglect under her and her husband's administration!
This woman puts the Iraqi Information Minister to shame!

During the 2000 campaign, I recall Vice President Cheney saying that there is almost nothing you can do to improve the quality of a force created by your predecessors. And then after the Gulf War, he wrote a letter to former President Reagan thanking him for building the military that fought so capably.
Well, I don't know, but I don't think any letters have yet arrived on the desks of anyone associated with the Clinton Administration.
What the #@$%?

He was an equal opportunity oppressor, but on paper women had rightsYeah, just like citizens of the Soviet Union had "rights" in the Constitution of the USSR. When will liberals learn that words on pieces of paper are meaningless without the will and the power to enforce them?

Now,
in order to work more cooperatively with other nations to prevent the proliferation, we have to be cautious about our own development and deployment of WMDs so we don't send mixed signals about our intentions and undermine our ability to reach agreements with other nations or unintentionally escalate an arms race with nations that might perceive out actions as provocative.
Specifically, I'm talking about the Administration's new strategic triad.
It's potential development of a new nuclear battlefield device and its plan to contract the current testing schedule for nuclear weapons from three years down to 18 months.
You know the Triad, which includes a strategic nuclear offense capability, a missile defense system, and long-range precision conventional capability, blurs the line between nuclear and conventional weapons systems, making others less certain about our intentions and, perhaps, frankly, making it easier for others to cross the line from conventional to nuclear.
Always looking out for the rest of the world , at our expense,, how clintonesque. We are the evil ones yaknow and risk further alienating other nations developing WMDs.
Huh? Like we really want to have to use a nuclear penetrator device.
Maybe , we could test it on ol' Crusty's drawers. As rumor has it, nothing has penetrated them in years.

As a staff alumnus of the Armed Services Committee, I'm particularly thrilled that the Senator chose as one of her assignments when she joined the United States Senate to serve on the United States Senate Armed Services Committee. I understand Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) told Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA)(after her close re-election bid) to move over, she'd be sitting on the Armed Services Committee. This after Bill made some calls in LA to get out the vote for Landrieu.
