SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- Former television talk show host Rosie O'Donnell said she planned to marry her longtime girlfriend Thursday in San Francisco, where more than 3,300 other same-sex couples have tied the knot since February 12.
Appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America," O'Donnell announced she would wed Kelli Carpenter -- two days after President Bush called for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

Rosie tried the same stunt to make herself the poster child with homosexual adoption in FL. She also has some sort of travel agency for homosexuals.
The other point is that she did not want to wait for May 17, because the momentum is not on their side. The more homsexuals in line and more bashing that happens the less people like the idea.
Also, the senators who oppose the FMA are considering pre-lawrence logic. ONce they realise the $$$$ cost to the perscription plan, social security, immigration, THEN the senators will start concluding FMA is a very good idea.

Really fat people like R have these folds of skin that crease, and in those creases develops a chessy fungus that molds and grows into an odiferous paste. Not even the hottest shower and a couples bottles of Tilex can kill that stuff. The smell emanating from those moldy folds that never see fresh air or sunlight are worse than runny French cheese on a Paris subway broken down on a 106 degree day.
I can only imagine what the "bride" must have to endure as she "grooms the pasture". Yyyeeeoooowwww!!!

Rosie also said "sitting president", sounds like somebody still has a 2000 grudge. Why do these people hate Bush so much...And why do they keep repeating this lie.

I probably shouldn't comment on this because I've been getting these e-mails from some ******* gays that are upset. If you want to be gay fine but to me it's not right and they can whine all they want because I don't care. Someone is also saying I'm supporting rape and that is far from the truth. I think the women who like us guys are great and I think that anyone who would rape them should be dealt with. Also I believe in the Second Amendment and Rosie can shove off, I will control my own gun. Rosie nor any of the other gays should be legally married, so theres my line in the sand.

I agree...We must remember to pray for our leaders at this time.

Rosie tried the same stunt to make herself the poster child with homosexual adoption in FL. It's not as grand a gesture there, FL is the only state where gays cannot adopt. You get more press for being the first one to break down the first barrier, not for being the first one to break down the last barrier.
By the way, found this over on MSNBC.com:
"ODonnells marriage marks the most prominent gay marriage to date. Last week, Carole Migden, a politically ambitious Democratic member of Californias Board of Equalization, also got married to her partner."
Translation: Ok, Rosie, you're more of a household word than Carole Migden, but since we used the words "to date", we're holding out for someone else to lead the movement. You'll be expected to sit down and shut up when we find that person.
ONce they realise the $$$$ cost to the perscription plan, social security, immigration, THEN the senators will start concluding FMA is a very good idea.
I'll agree with you that gay marriage will have immigration conseqences. But they are likely to be less costly than even what our President has proposed, before it gets modified by the Rats. I hope that he doesn't trade too much away on this immigration bill to get support for the FMA. As for Social Security, its going to go broke before I hit 67, one way or the other. Gay spouses collecting survivor benefits might accelerate that by only a month or two, max. As for medical costs of gay spouses, somebody's paying them now, and chances are, they're being third partied onto the bills that the rest of us pay anyway.
The other point is that she did not want to wait for May 17, because the momentum is not on their side.
Do you seriously believe anything will happen to prevent gay marriages from taking place in MA on May 17th? Even a MA FMA will not go into effect until November 2006 at the very soonest, and there's no practical way to get a Federal FMA approved by then, either. If Mitt Romney tries some "take the law into his own hands" manuever, both the MA SJC and the media will battle him bitterly. He'll relieve President Bush of being the designated media "bad guy" on this issue, but in the end, he won't win.

I think Rosie is a sexy beast... roar!!! I bet she smells like Limburger cheese.

I agree...We must remember to pray for our leaders at this time.I tell you what, our backs are against the wall, their are about 80-84 % Christians in the country. Screw our leaders, they either act or they'll be dropped out of office so fast. I'm very open minded, live and let live and all that jive. But the gays have lost all sympathy from me on this issue... and I suspect that about another 270 million others in the country feel the same.

Rosie is doing a good thing--She is putting her beliefs on the line. I am not gay but I got to hand it to her. She is one gutsy lady. The San Francisco wedding blitz has made Gay marriage a done deal. Humpty Dumpty has fallen from the wall. The rest of the nation will just have to catch up.

will the O'Doughnut's reception be at a Krispy Kream or a Dunkin Doughnuts?? I don't know, maybe both. But I know they'll be having it under that Circus Big-Top Cape she has wear!

The wedding comes a day before California's attorney general is set to file a lawsuit that may end the controversial weddings Lockyer caved? When did that happen?

why is it that normal people are required to go through a licensing process, blood tests, etc. before they get married and MR. ROSIE O'DONNELL and it's partner can walk right in and get married?

"We applied for spousal privilege and were denied it by the state. As a result, everything that I said to Kelli, every letter that I wrote her, every e-mail, every correspondence and conversation was entered into the record," O'Donnell said. "After the trial, I am now and will forever be a total proponent of gay marriage." She wants gay marriage so that her spouse can't testify against her in a court case. Wow, what a romantic!
To: mwl1
The problem is the liberal loving press ONLY show you what isn't totally offensive to people which keeps them in the dark. They'd NEVER show what a gay pride parade is REALLY like. It's lewd and obscene but the news won't show you that.

That's right, so family values groups are gonna have to develop and air some commercials depicting the truth. The trick will be to do it aggressively without going overboard.
