The President met with Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in the Oval Office of the White House to discuss regional security and diplomatic issues. (Geography refresher: Tunisia is in North Africa, borders eastern Algeria and is SW of Italy, across the Mediterranean; the CIA wrote recently, "Tunisia has taken a moderate, non-aligned stance in its foreign relations.")
Laura Bush visited students and educators at Limerick Elementary School in the Canoga Park area of Los Angeles, promoting literacy. Mrs. Bush encouraged students to read more than they watch television.
And on a "know your opponents" note: the democrats continue to run in Circles of Confusion, today's version of Dante's Divine Comedy: The Inferno.
Enjoy your Dose of W, and welcome to Sanity Island!

Pretty color for springtime in Rancho Mirage. :o)

It looks like the way to get an up-close-and-personal visit with the President is to bring a kidlet and a big flag into the rallies! He's drawn to them like a magnet.

Thanks for the pics, Gretchen!
Mint green is really a pretty color on her--reminds me of spring!
Is she losing more weight?
She is just beautiful!

Re: your post 271. That's exactly the way my friends are about politics. Their hatred of President Bush is so unfounded and vitriolic that we can't talk politics at all. And I'd love to be able to share information with them.
Not talking about it is still easier than losing my friends, though.

Laura is sure a beautiful woman, A Class act who will not stand for the Democrats, and those in the media, (who carry their water) beating up on her husband.
George W. Bush is one lucky man to have her.
GO LAURA

I've been sending snippets of information to Hardball with documentation of President Bush's real National Guard duty as you summarized in your post. Of course, Matthews hasn't let up at all, so I decided to give myself a break and stop watching his show.

Where did he (and his roomies) get the Christmas tree?
He looks fine. Very well.
I can't imagine a much better sight than all those *abandoned* Iraqi tanks and war equipment.

Never tho't I'd say this, but I"m SO GLAD the audio went out on ABC's evening news -- so it will be re-run so I can see Laura giving Terry McDoofy the bizness. Thanks for the heads up.

I appreciate all your posts about the Democrat relatives.
I have an aunt and uncle who are Christians, and they used to hit me with Democrat stuff. One day, I said how can you vote for ANYBODY who advocates abortion, killing innocent babies? I couldn't do that ever! I never heard another Democrat advocacy from them again.
My ignorant MIL is of the gimme, gimme, gimme entitlement club. I asked her, who is going to pay for this? You want us to pay for all this? Your grandchildren? I pointed out the demographics of a diminishing number of young people and told her what the tax rate would be on her grandchildren. She didn't care as long as she got what she thought was coming to her. Then I said if she cared about her grandchildren at all, she wouldn't say that. That shut her up temporarily. Until the next visit, then she'd start again.
I don't see the ignorant Democrat relatives very often, don't have to. I have the feeling some of you ladies have to see yours more often than I do. My sympathies.

My husb. raises cattle so . . .
I hope I'll never be faced with that challenge. :-)
I don't think John F'n Kerry would ever lower himself to see how the 'working class' lives. Let's say, if he gets his hands and loafers dirty helping my husb. get the cattle in to be worked . . . well . . . I'll eat the testicles.
Deal?

Don't you wish the media had some inkling of how fortunate we are to have George W. Bush as our President?

I guess I need to find out when W will be close to my area, and go "visit" him with the grandkids (and some flags) in tow! ;)

Oh gosh, those are SO funny. I like the one of him sitting inside the trashed vehicle, making the "thumb hit on the trigger" gesture and going "boom" with his cheeks! Hysterical.
Thanks for sharing.

The potential sponsor is running for the US Senate but is not currently a member, as I understand it. His web site is listed in the link,
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1080709/posts. This is also another reason why it's really a dumb idea to issue drivers' licenses to illegals.

What a wonderful, heartwarming story!
To: coloradomom
Yea, I've given up on Matthews' Hardball. I wrote him a nasty email a couple of weeks ago and told him he sounds as wacko has Dean and Clark and all those other radical conspiracy theorists. I quit watching him altogether even though my viewing had become sporadic anyway. He's a real nut.
To: homemom
I did see that and yes, it is refreshing.
