We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

He was already President. It makes a difference. It really does. You know, I really don't think so anymore. What I do suppose is that the dems are circled around the table in the war room, discussing strategy for dealing with this. The mantra will begin to hit our televisions this afternoon or this evening. It will be covered up, or put back into the face of the mean-spirited, hateful republicans.
I am telling you, Kerry is their man no matter what.
Character doesn't matter to these people. They have been using the phrases "anyone but Bush" and "whoever can beat Bush" and this is their horse.
To: No Blue States
This is all a dem inside job. But we should not be thrown off the mark by this. Remember everyone was focused on lewinsky and nothing was reported on the missle tech sent to the Chinese. And people wondered why Bush is all fired for setting up a national missile defense system.

This matters not, the left-wing media will present this in their fashion, because they rule this country.
And have, since RR left office.
All pols make decisions for the NYT, not us.
And if the lib-elite-media wants universal health care, they do health care stories, and take a poll.
Simple.
To: TBall
I look at who is left on the Lib side and am not shaking in my boots.
Another Intern scandal.
A trial lawyer
A kook
Take your pick and Bush will crush them.
To: Miss Marple
I move we be sympathetic to Teresa, suggest they go for counseling, and accuse the media of the politics of personal destruction. Not to worry. The pundits will take care of this.
OTOH, the last thing the press wants is a Democratic primary that is dull and settled this early. So maybe this story will have legs....
(And know how to use them.)

"What makes you think Edwards hasn't been fooling around?"
You have no idea how much I wish such a thing would be discovered. Of course, he probably prefers little boys.

Kerry's squeeze has
left the country? Might be a bit more here than just a vanilla affair...
To: All
Okay chowderheads, listen up. Y'all better hope Kerry gets the dem nomination and that this dirt doesn't result in an Edwards nomination.
Strategerywise, I'd hold it until AFTER he gets the nomination and then unload the septic tanker on him, otherwise the dems might dump him for Edwards, and the latter scares me as a slick and compelling opponent to Bush.

This is sort of prophetic. I remember a FReeper saying that there will be some bombshell to deflate Kerry just before the primaries are over.

Everybody has been correct about the Klintons destroying anybody that might have a chance agaist Bush! Its as clear as glass now, since its Clark that paved the way and lit the fuze!
Still I doubt if it will force Kerry to back down, only decent people care about an abuse of power, like a more powerful President, Senator, or Congressman having sex with an lowly intern. I don't think it would even matter to the Dims if the intern is a guy, that would make it even creepier and sexier to them. Now if a inocent four legged animal is involved, that might be another story. That could really P.O. their PETA supporters.

Not.
He married a middle-aged woman who supported his Presidential bid, and even took out personal loans.
Much bigger deal with the female vote.
They don't have children together, and it looks like he married her for her money while cheating on her with a little chickey (boy, I hope it is).
Boomer women will not like this at all.
To: TaxRelief
Clinton machine in gear...If Hillary runs, no one will ever be able to accuse her of having an affair.

I bet she stands by her man. All the money in the world can't buy you imortality as the first lady. My bet is that she stays. She is a Demoncrat so this is an acceptable activity.
It's very French. It is ok to keep a mistress and still stay happily married. It's done all the time in France. Americans must learn to be more sophisticated.
