We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS

Update 2:

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Update 3

FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

May I play the race card here?

Are there no black people in Mass? Are there no black or Hispanic college students who might benefit from an internship w/the great Mr. Kerry?

So much for rats and diversity.

By their fruits shall ye know them.

"Don't you think it's ironic that Rush is reading the National Enquirer who broke his drug problem story? Just think about that one. (maybe they settled with Rush?"

This is not irony. It is deliberate and the reason behind it is: The mainstream press treated the Enquirer like gospel when the article was about Rush, they treat the Enquirer like trash when they have a story about their own.

He is flogging the double standard evidenced by the different handling of the 2 stories about public figures. It is a little self serving but if I was Rush I'd be a lot more obvious about it.

Remember .. FNC was one of the last ones to carry the Rush story .. however, FNC has been the only one who has followed up with the story and reported Rush's wins against the PBSAO.

I expect Brit might be the one to launch this story, if FNC can get some confirmation of it's truth. I'm glad FNC is waiting, because we usually get the best story with more complete facts, not rumors.

If you got to "Smash Can" (smashcan.com) there IS a Kristin Murphy, but boy is she b___ ugly. Although the photo of her with Jerry in the hot red dress shows somebody more palatable.

Kerry's Hist'ry

Let's hope so but you never know. When the Jennifer Flowers story broke It was "Put a fork in Clinton he's done."

One of the main differences though is Clinton was a likeable scoundrel. Kerry is not liked. - Tom

Well, if Hillary entered the race, she could tell people to vote for Clark or Gephardt or some other minor/out candidate as a surrogate for her. The goal would be to keep Kerry (or anyone else) from a first ballot win. Heck, even a write-in campaign could probably achieve that. Then the delegates are free to vote for whom they choose.

For that matter, electors in the general election are totally free to vote for who they choose. So she could potentially jump in even as late as October (assuming she could get the nominee to drop out and make it clear that a vote for the dropout was actually a vote for her -- it would be legal).

I think there's more than one and I think they should all write books about Lovin' Kerry. This thread is slowing down and this may be my last post. My p.c. icons are going nuts. Farewell if I get knocked off this thread after this post. I'll be back later. Someone, please ping me later.

"If Kerry was smart he would ask Hillary to become his running mate. Remember "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Sure he would. But then, wicked Hillary could be setting this whole thing up to steal the nomination from Kerry..honestly, of course. LOL.

"The Devil takes care of his own."

Is this Craig Crawford the same man Hissy Matthews has on his show at least once a week? If so, I wonder if Hissy will have him on again? Like O'Reilly, Hissy loves Kerry.

It just struck me. Yesterday, I saw an item about Kerry already requesting Secret Service protection (as if he were already the nominee). This explains that. He wants some body guards to protect him from Lady Heinz's castration knife.
