We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

Update 2:

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Update 3

FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

Not when you are just a candidate. The difference with clinton is he was IN the WH.

5) HOW SHORT A LIFE WILL THIS HAVE IN THE MEDIA?

Go to DU and you will see it is not going to go away quickly. Many are calling for Dean to do the right thing and get out of the race, they don't want a scandle like this. Some, of course, are blaming the Republicans, FReeRepublic and anyone and everyone but Kerry. Others are saying it is a good thing it came out now so they can adjust.

My guess: It won't get reported until tomorrow morning

That would be pathetic. I'm sure CNN's Bill Schneider won't be crowing about this.

this will take Drudge out of this election cycle, paint Kerry as the victim of a probable 'pub smear, and vaccinate him against the next real scandal.

What a life we lead! Maybe we've been in the bunker too long?

Don't you think it's ironic that Rush is reading the National Enquirer who broke his drug problem story? Just think about that one. (maybe they settled with Rush?)

One would think if he had this, he would have used it then.

OK. I disagree. It is a fact that Clark leaked this. He's the one that made the statement in front of the reporters, no?

At the end of the day- I don't really care who leaked it.

"RIVALS PREDICT RUIN "

Has anyone identified these rivals and what they've said, other than Weasely Clar?

It is becoming clearer. This past week all of the media pundits were saying it is not over yet and that Edwards might make the best candidate. They were all burnishing his image, which I thought was a ploy to keep the spotlight on the Dems. Now I think they all knew that this was going to blow soon and change the equation.

The White House press corps feeding frenzy on GWB's national guard service was probably a fit of pique fueled by the knowledge that Kerry was going to be shot out of the saddle. They decided on a scorched earth policy and take GWB at all costs.

Barbara Walters ended her stint on 20/20. Talk about a bad career move. Now she'll have to COVER THIS ON THE VIEW.

Can you do something with the pic in this post? it's killing download time.

Yup. We quickly swamped the server on which the picture was located. For those who did not get to see it, the photo was of Kristin Murphy, a lovely young blonde lady, who has done some modeling, talking with Kerry.

My dream scenario is that this infuriates Kerry so that he goes after the Clintons as the source. I can dream. He wants the Presidency badly(I think Ter-ay-za does as well)so I can see him firing back at the evil duo if he thinks they've outed him.
