We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

Yeah, but if Democrats actually did that, they'd be stoned to death.
Ethnocentrism, my friend. You believe that everyone is moral, honest, and forthcoming like most of us conservatives are. There are evil people out there who will do ANYTHING for power. Kerry is one of them. He will deny, and if the story sticks, drop out.

Go send him 25 emails and get all of your friends who care about keeping newsreporting fair and responsible to do the same. It's the only way to stop this loony tune. The Leftist Impulse: Information we don't like must be suppressed. Dissent must be silenced.
Welcome to the information age, my Stalinist friends.

"The press is going to be very careful before running with this. I don't blame FNC and others for not running with it until they get more info on it."
Oh yes, as careful as they were about W's alleged AWOL, I'm sure. (Rolling eyes)

If this were true, wouldn't Slick have broke it before his buttboy Clark withdrew?! Apparently Lehane had explosive material under his belt and I questioned why he'd be the one to reveal it now, after his man Clark resigned. Slick has been urging Hillary to run in 2004 while GWB appears vulnerable and he's now given her the venue.

Which is why it is perfect the Weasley Clark outed it himself.

Of all the petty things to complain about ... some of Rush's little stick. He has a lot of others just as bad (good)
You should be enjoying the Kerry fun.

No way [Cruella]survive a primary battle, even now. I must strongly disagree. Particularly with Kerry in trouble, if she got in she'd sweep every remaining primary by huge margins. The only issue is whether she can get on the ballot at this late date.

Her views on marital fidelity: "I don't think I could have coped so well" with a mate's philandering as Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) has. "I used to say to my husband, my late husband, 'If you ever get something I'll maim you. Not kill you, just maim you.' And we'd laugh, laugh, laugh." Heinz adds that she has never had any reason to suspect either of her husbands. "Not for one day, because what I expect of them, they have a right to expect of me. Maybe I'm into 18-year-olds." At which Heinz's campaign handler, former political journalist Chris Black, cautioned bleakly: "That was a joke."

Could she pick up Clark's structure and run with it?
I mean they are all HER people anyway.........she could do it "for the good of the party."

"To be fair and balanced, tv must be sure of their facts before they report this story on the air. Fox has been burned one too many times on jumping the gun on a story that later didn't pan out."
Like the excellent research they've done on the W AWOL story? This is just the usual bias; if it were an intern with W they would interrupt the soap operas and scream about it.

"With all due respect, he's completely wrong. We don't have to worry about the media doing in Kerry. The other candidates are going to rip him to SHREDS. Howard Dean will be foaming at the mouth, as will Edwards. They will ensure that this become issue #1 in the Democratic primary. He's DONE!"
Don't get your hopes up just yet. I saw the same kind of posts here in 1998 when the Lewinsky story surfaced. We'll see just how good a politician Kerry is. Then we will know if he will survive or not.
