Just heard on WCBS newsradio NY that CNN reports Carlie Brucia found dead in Sarasota.

She was tarted up to look 18-20 years old. She was fully made up, and played on her development (5 feet, 120 pounds)with tight, form-fitting clothes. Look at the security camera. That is NOT what an 11-year-old should look like.

I could not disagree more. She's not "tarted up", she looks like a school-age child. You obviously haven't been to a mall lately - this girl was modestly dressed. Also, her mother had no idea she was walking home (she did it without permission and told the parents of the girlfriend she was staing with that she had permission.

Her mother has been dealt life's most horrible blow, and people are around the world are trying to find ways to blame it on HER!!! Now I am angry!

You misunderstand. My indignation isn't that you're trying to blame Carlie, it's that you're faulting the mother. Once again, THE MOTHER DID NOT KNOW her dausghter was walking home, so how could you blame her? And if she was at a slumber party, it is quite clear that the 11-year old dressed herself - the mother wan't even there. The clothes show no skin, not even the ever-popular midriff, so I don't think anyone could call them provacative. With what we know - the mother is blameless.

I'm sure you'll find broad agreement here that society is too permissive. My point was that the permissive aspect, vis-a-vis clothing (although I think not perinent to this case) would be as relevant for a 25 year old as for an 11 year old. That is, it's not an "age thing" as far as perps are concerned.

Yup. The mom didn't control an important aspect of the sleep over. Expressly arrange with the other party how the child will be returned. The story at this point is that Carlie lied to the slepp-over partent, that she was intended to walk home.
