I was so hoping this one would turn out differently.

I don't know what it is. But if John Edwards wants to win the Florida primary, he should run ads with Carla's photo asking John Kerry why he opposes the death penalty for animals who kill children. That's all W will have to do to win Florida by at least 20 points in November.

It's good that Smith didn't talk. He & his lawyer would've tried to bargain life without parole rather than the death penalty in exchange for saying where Carlie was.
