SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.
The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Yes I did miss your Ping - sorry to say. Thanks for the enlightenment.
Channel 4 in Spokane tonight did a story on another topic of concern. They stated Washington State is using infrared sensor technology, snowmobiles, skidoos, night vision, and increased manpower for border protection (they have made some very large drug busts). It was indicated they are contemplating monitors within the Columbia River to further surveil illegal border crossing. That was very good news for a Friday the 13th.

Ryan Anderson, a tank crew member arrested on Thursday as his unit prepared to ship out to Iraq, broke no laws, but drew a swarm of police as he strode toward an Everett, Washington, elementary school in May 1998 on a break from his studies at Washington State University. This is beyond belief. And this guy makes it into the military. We've got some house-cleaning to do.

The 'Islamic Bomb' spreads over globe
Posted: February 14, 2004
The father of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal and the creator of the "Islamic Bomb," Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, has confessed to selling nuclear secrets to Iran, Libya and North Korea. The nuclear black market that he headed sold blueprints, hardware and know-how during the late 1980s at least through the mid-1990s through middlemen on three continents for covert nuclear programs.

Military Trains for War on Terror in Arizona
Their sandy, brush-strewn training ground resembles some parts of Iraq and Afghanistan, but their intensive counter-terrorism mission is here in the Unites States.
Soldiers training at the Tactical Human Intelligence (search) facility north of the Mexico-Arizona border learn counter-espionage, interrogation tactics and intelligence gathering to fight terrorism in a sandy, mountainous, makeshift village.
About 60 troops are going through four grueling months of the training at any given time, with most men and women leaving the facility and heading to Iraq or Afghanistan within 27 days of completing the course.

You are correct.
The threats have changed the way we live, think and shop.
Before this thread, I spent my time on line looking for doll patterns, etc. Today, I look for terrorists.
Did anyone think Panama Canal when he talk was on earlier about the 10,000 ships waiting to get thru the China canal, because of the wrecked ship?
Those 10,000 ships may have our food for dinner on them.
I am not sure of the origin of this site, but what I could read of it was of interest. Read the Agro Terrorism link that is under: Bio Terrorism and related topics.

The "Real" Threat Matrix INTELLIGENCE
Dispute Prompts Scrutiny of Bush's Daily Reading By DOUGLAS JEHL
Published: February 14, 2004
WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 The highly classified digest that provides President Bush with his daily intelligence updates is being scrutinized within the government and Congress after criticism that the information Mr. Bush has been given on Iraq and other matters has not reflected a broad range of views, senior administration and Congressional officials say.
Both the Central Intelligence Agency and the Senate Intelligence Committee, which voted on Thursday night to expand its inquiry on Iraq intelligence, have signaled their intent to examine the shaping and presentation of the daily briefing, the officials said Friday.

A Candidate From Russia Is in London With New Tale
By STEVEN LEE MYERS
Published: February 14, 2004
MOSCOW, Feb. 13 Ivan P. Rybkin, the Russian presidential candidate who disappeared for five days before resurfacing in Ukraine this week, appeared in London on Friday and offered yet another explanation for his bizarre absence, saying he had been drugged and kidnapped.
None of Mr. Rybkin's remarks could be corroborated, and his new version contradicted statements he made after returning to Moscow on Tuesday night and in a rambling radio interview the next day.

Federal Panel Recommends More Testing for Mad Cow
By ALICIA AULT
Published: February 14, 2004
SILVER SPRING, Md., Feb. 13 Joining a growing chorus, federal advisers on Friday urged the government to increase testing for mad cow disease greatly to better gauge if the United States has a problem, and if so, how widespread it is.
The panelists said that without that data, there was no way to minimize the risk to humans who might be exposed by eating meat, or through drugs, vaccines, cosmetics and dietary supplements that contain raw materials from cattle.

Michael Savage is in agreement with you.
The enemy with in is the real problem.
If you dig around, you will find much to support it.
A pen pal, is militia oriented and the stuff that he has sent over the years, sure supports the enemy within.
That is what they base the "Militia will have to fight the Gov" thought on.
No, he isn't an evil or nazi person, it is simply what he thinks and the proof if strong.

"Bin Laden's own doctor once treated Ujaama"
By Mike Carter, Feb 12, 2004
Seattle Times staff reporter
ARTCILE SNIPPET: "During one of James Ujaama's trips to aid the Taliban government in Afghanistan in late 2000, the former Seattle native fell ill and was treated by Ayman al-Zawahiri, one of the most-wanted terrorists in the world and Osama bin Laden's adviser, confidant and personal physician.
"It gives you an idea of the circles in which Ujaama found himself," noted one federal law-enforcement source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "It would be like you or me getting a bellyache and having the U.S. surgeon general show up at the door."
On the eve of Ujaama's sentencing in federal court on charges of illegally aiding the Taliban government, three sources familiar with Ujaama's statements to agents said he detailed the meeting as part of a plea agreement. The deal reduced his possible 10-year prison sentence to two years.
He will be formally sentenced in Seattle tomorrow and likely will be sent to a halfway house to serve the remainder of his sentence. It is expected the 38-year-old Ingraham High School graduate will be freed in July, two years to the day after his arrest in Denver on a material-witness warrant."

The Terrorist Survival Kit, may be where the threat to split the United States into 3 parts came from.
They are talking about their 3 layers of terrorists.
My first thought while reading it.
