Polls show Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark doing well as he fights for Oklahoma's 40 delegates, but the state hasn't been entirely friendly territory him.

Clark's three-car caravan was headed back from a campaign appearance in McAlester to Oklahoma City shortly after midnight Sunday when it was pulled over by a state trooper.

Oklahoma has some really good troopers and are diligent and honest. They are also a close knit group that has experienced some real tragedies in the last several years. Just recently a trooper was murdered the day after Christmas near Devol, Oklahoma, after confronting a meth lab freak. I have no animosity toward them after one got me at Salisaw for speeding. He was very professional. It is nice to know they treat Weasley Clark the same as me.

I wonder if he tried his "I outrank you" schtick with the cop?

In a related story, British troops after consulting with their own government refused Clark's orders to fire on the Oklahoma troopers.

Most cops will give you ten miles over the speed limit I guess they exceeded that by 3 mph, not much , but enough to make the Radag buzz, By the way never admit you set your cruise control just under the limit of the ten they give you ,thats tantamount to admitting your intention to break the law. Pretty stupid to admit that.

The signs in Oklahoma clearly state "75 MPH -- NO TOLERANCE"

When neighboring states TX and MO have 70 MPH limits, this seems reasonable to me.

What Oklahoma has is a fair and reasonable speed limit that means what it says.

I would say the same thing if it were Ronald Reagan's or Ron Paul's driver.

I will take an honest speed limit and honest troopers over the garbage you get in CT (unmarked cars abound over horizons) and a lot of other states any day.

I sure wouldn't depend on that "ten they give you." Human reflexes aren't up to 85 mph anyway even under perfect conditions.

New York State troopers are real pro's as well. I've never seen one conduct himself unprofessionally.

So Mr. Christiane Amanpour has a lead foot. A motorcade full of Limosine Liberals gets pulled over for speeding.

Gee, who'd have thunk it.

I'll remember that next time I watch a Nascar race.

'ol H. Ross Perot got nailed in our city this last fall - the motorcycle officer responded after giving the ticket that he was "THE" H. Ross Perot and the 'H' stood for Henry!

Old Weasley's not having a good law-related week. Someone sent me an email that the ND Attorney General found that Clark's prerecorded campaign phone calls violated the state law against unsolicited phone calls, and that the campaign had to agree to pull the calls!
