The signs in Oklahoma clearly state "75 MPH -- NO TOLERANCE"

When neighboring states TX and MO have 70 MPH limits, this seems reasonable to me.

What Oklahoma has is a fair and reasonable speed limit that means what it says.

I would say the same thing if it were Ronald Reagan's or Ron Paul's driver.

I will take an honest speed limit and honest troopers over the garbage you get in CT (unmarked cars abound over horizons) and a lot of other states any day.

I sure wouldn't depend on that "ten they give you." Human reflexes aren't up to 85 mph anyway even under perfect conditions.

I spent the past three days in Texas, and I came to the conclusion that in Texas 70 MPH really means 85. And don't you dare get in the left lane doing a mere 75. Move over, and do it in a hurry before somebody drives right over you in their Lexus SUV. (BTW, is the plural of Lexus Lexi? As in, at least a dozen Lexi passed me on their way to Houston for the Toilet Bowl, I mean the Super Bowl.)

Here in KS they generally give you only 5.
