Whoa! What a crazy Super Bowl side show. It started before the half-time show with some of the Bud-Light commercials. We couldn't believe some of them-They were funny, but a bit over the top. I'm sure there's going to be an uproar about these too. On top of JJ flashing the world, there was a streaker on the field right after the Half-Time show(read this on another thread) too. (
I was wondering what the announcers were talking about when they said there was an uninvited guest on the field-LOL.)
FYI on Kid Rock (the guy wearing flag), he's a staunch supporter of Bush and the military and has gone to Baghdad at least once, if not twice, to entertain them. ( I thought he was the best part of the Half-time show). Over-all , I'd rate the Super Bowl show kind of amusing , but raunchy
I'd rate the game as outstanding. Too bad this other stuff will detract from the best story , which was the football game. Everybody I watched it with said it was the one of the best SB game's they had ever seen. Both teams played their hearts out . They went right down to the wire. The game was great.
Now I have to get back to cleaning up the mess from the party=no fun :-(

Again Virago, you assume to much.
Not a difficult task for you, I see, but...
First, I stand by what I said. Your equating the sight of a female breast with lewd sex acts or rampant nudity on broadcast TV is something for you and a good counselor to discuss.
As for my "empathy" with Janet Jackson, yes, I suppose I can, from a male perspective, empathise that she has breasts, and one of them got exposed tonight...

You think this woman wanted this to happen? I REALLY feel sorry for most of you...
It was an accident...LET IT GO
One wonders why people hate Christians...
I guess you just showed us why arrogance, ignorance and foolishness!

Ohhh, such violence Joe...
So let me get this straight, a women's breast pops out, and that gives you the right to Bust her Filthy Skull?
Seriously Joe, what other things give you the right to Bust someone's skull?
Do you let your children see you do it when you bust a skull?

If Kid Rock is a stand up guy like a lot are saying, then he will apologize to the public for disrespecting the Flag.
Sec. 8. - Respect for flag
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.
(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.
(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general. ......
To: LisaMalia
So HE didn't let it touch the ground, big deal. How about the guy he handed it to who crumpled it up and tossed it aside?
It's sad that you consider him "patriotic" for desecrating a flag by cutting a hole in it and wearing it upside down.
What the hell do they teaching kids now days?

I'm no prude, but I was disgusted by the Janet Jackson/Timberlake fiasco. I was watching with my 21 year old son, and neither of us could believe it. For a young man who's in the midst of his "party years" to think it was bad..well, that says something.
I found this email address on another thread:
www.fccinfo@fcc.gov Voice your opinion there. I did, and I passed it on to all on my email list.

Well, I haven't read the whole thread (and this is probably addressed), but the former dance and theater costume designer in me asked:
Why does the left side of her bodice rip off in the first place? Designers don't do that unless they are SUPPOSED to rip off.
I smell PR spin, too.

Please find the part about displaying an American flag that is not in pristine condition. I see it every day. American flags in front of schools, homes, and government offices..with the edges frayed. And on automobiles as well.
Give the guy some credit for showing his loyality to our country. That's the point, isn't it?

I didn't think it was that bad. It was so quick and far away you couldn't see nipple at all. Of course if you use photoshop to blow up the picture you can see something but not much. Anyways all the teens who saw it watch much worse at the VMA's (video music awards) and on mtv videos all the time. During video music awards Lil' Kim walks down the red carpet wearing a pasty on one breast and presented an award and Diana Ross jiggled the pasty breast on stage. Rose Mcgowan (Marilyn Manson's ex-girlfriend) walked down the red carpet at the VMA's totally nude except for a few bead strings draped across her butt cheaks and maybe something covering her crotch. I think they scrambled her nipples but not sure. I think Prince did a performance with his butt exposed and so did marily manson and howard stern did too. The lyrics and videos and vma performances are explicit, sometime offensive and racy. I think Nirvana sang a song called "rape me" one time at the VMA's against mtv's wishes. I don't consider the superbowl a family event I consider it a sport for mostly adult men and the ads and programming is geared toward adult men. Guys should have a show geared toward what they want to see because men watch it.

"No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform"
I LOVE to see the American flag on my favorite sports teams uniforms. Are you going to condemn them as well?

The Jackson family has been a pox on humanity. Maybe we could feed one or two of them to rats?
Nah, that'd be mean to the rats....

The close-up on the drudge site shows that the costume had snaps holding the cup in place. It was designed to come apart. Should have used pop-rivits!

You did it again, seems to be a habit of yours. You created another strawman; you misquoted me.
I said, "If someone exposes themself in front of my children I reserve the right to BUST THEIR FILTHY SKULL.
I guess you left off the 'in front of my children' part to help justify your position that arbitrary nudity on television is just fine, afterall its just a breast. If you want that junk on television, get yourself a liberal law passed.
If someone has a problem with my feelings about perverts exposing themselves in front of children (they certainly knew there would be millions of children watching) then I have a really easy solution. Don't expose yourself in front of my children.
You sound very much like Bill Clinton's supporters after it was confirmed that he comitted perjury before a grand jury and also coached others to perjure themselves. They said it was just a little sex, no big deal.
Its a much bigger deal, and you appear to be a bit myopic. I trust you do not support those whose 'raison d'etre' is to move this country's moral locus even further to the left.
