No I don't think women should be running around with their breasts sticking out on national television...
I just find it funny how people are sickened by that but find it ok that billions of dollars are spent on the SuperBowl.

Then that means some men never grow up!

Companies and people can spend their money on what they want to spend their money on. I think it is a bit silly, but certainly not offensive.

Personally, I would have preferred seeing Beyonce in a G-String instead of that Michael Look-alike freak flashing her breasts.
Nevertheless, inappropriate for a show watched by families. If it were late night TV, maybe that would be OK.

2 bared breasts? You're so amusing.
My kids didn't see the half time show, but I talked to my older son about it because he's going to hear about it at school. I had to explain that despite what was shown on tv, it's not ok to yank at women's clothes to expose their breasts.
I wouldn't think that was behavior that would need encouraging. Apparently, Justin Timberlake, Janet and CBS don't agree with me.

"I was just kinda wondering...if it was ok and all, why has all three big news stations fuzzed it our when they showed the replay at the top of the hour?"
You can read all the posts here, admitting that these folks have been calling and harassing all the major networks, the Cops, AND the FCC, and you still ask that question...

I agree

To be fair, Janet looked really pissed.... Scared by the sound of the hissing velcro, no doubt.
She looked a lot more outraged when the reviews of *The Nutty Professor II* mentioned her co-starring role as Professor Denise Gaines....

What are you talking about? Janet Jackson is stripped naked (voluntarily or not) on national television and that is not offensive? Janet Jackson is either exposing her breast intentionally to audiences where she knows children are watching, or her clothes are being ripped off by a man against her will and that is not offensive?
Perhaps you can bring up the subject of offensive salaries made by football players in another thread.

I just find it funny how people are sickened by that but find it ok that billions of dollars are spent on the SuperBowl. Sickening? Tell that to the advertisers who can feed their families because they have jobs. The players, the owners, the people who work at the stadium, the personal assistants, trainers, etc who the players employ....all because the American people like to watch games played on tv.
It's a GREAT thing!

You have a problem with folks spending money or making money?
To: Lord_Baltar
Who cares, it's a boob. It's not like she was completely nude, spread eagle on stage.Who cares, it's just spread eagle. You sound like a prude pushing some sort of standards.

"Janet Jackson is stripped naked"
Naked? Gee, I guess I missed where she was completely naked
To: FreeReign
Actually, the more I think about it, the angrier I get. When I think that young boys watched a man tear part of a women's shirt off to the deafening sound of people cheering, I GET REALLY MAD and when I think that Janet Jackson would go along with that image, I get really sad.
