So, no sooner does Sen. John Kerry emerge from the New Hampshire primary as the Democrats' fragile front-runner than word gets out that Bill Clinton was flying down to Washington to plan the Democrats' return to the White House, and at this "high level" meeting Sen. Hillary Clinton would join him. What is this all about? Are the Democratic presidential contenders not capable of sorting things out on their own? Two, after all, were coaxed into the race by the Clintons, Sen. John Edwards and Gen. Wesley Clark.

I'm convinced the reason Bill Clinton changed the law (by EO) which appointed the attorney general (instead of FEMA) as the person in charge in case of an emergency, was because Bill suspected we could be attacked and he wanted to be ready to take over. A real police state was what they had in mind, under the guise of "protecting the children".

This used to sound far fetched, but the more I read about what the Clintons did behind the scenes during the 8 years they were in office, I become more and more convinced of how dangerous and evil they are.

The election in 2004 is for the "soul" of America.

That was last election. Gore had an incumbent advantage and still lost. Now Bush has the advantage, plus the advantage of a lot of free patriotism.

I don't think she really takes Bill seriously. I think if she ever gets in power Bill will be given the position of first lap dog and she will find some really dangerous people to fulfill her evil ambitions.

I feel like we are in some other universe watching this.

Nope, we are in the Twilight Zone. But we have one small advantage. By the small penance of crawling over broken glass for miles, we may still all get to the voting booths and render our vote for George W. Bush on November 2, 2004.

Yes, I know, there are still single-issue voters out there that would never support a Democrat, and would rather vote for a third-party than George Bush. But this time, there is no alternative that lies between the Republican and the Democrat, as there was when Ross Perot was out there, in 1992 and 1996. There may be an alternative out there that is some sort of rugged individualist, but none of note has emerged.

If you cannot, in good conscience, vote for Bush, then go WAY over to the fever swamps, and vote for the third-party person who is MORE radical than the Democrats. Every vote over there is taken directly away from the Democrats (or so they would think) and they force themselves ever more leftward. At some point the American public can finally no longer countenance this anti-American slant, and they shall abandon the Democrats as a major party forever.

But don't NOT vote.

I still think the "bargain" they made was for her in the WH, while he was Sec Genl of the UN.

Bill Clinton remains a mesmerizing figure to those he does not repel. Hillary's appeal is in some ways broader than his.

I can't take my eyes off of her. To me, she isn't as much appealing as she is bewildering. It's something that I can't easily explain. The same curiosity that used to drive me to pay a dollar to be able to view some freak show at the carnival drives me to look at Hillary - I can't look at her for long. Just like the "snake lady" or the "mummy boy" at the carnival, it doesn't take long before you say, "Hey! That piece of sh-t if fake! What a ripoff!!.....it STINKS in here, let's go!"

The truth of the matter is, the vast majority of Americans are not as conservative as some of the posters on FR. And it is another fact, that a majority of Americans have learned to like handouts or are now wondering "where's mine?" So Bush will do what he has to do to bring the country along. It's unfortunate that so many anti-Bush conservatives never see his efforts to plant seeds of conservatism, they only look for him to stumble.
