Do you know, once Missouri asked for an extension, all the libs were asking the same here. Then our liberal ag didn't do a thing, and smokes for votes was recorded by a news team.

We have a lot of work to get rid of the liberal mindset in this country. I've posted this several times, but check it out, especially the 75th congress. It's amazing we have any conservatives left. We have a long way to go. This isn't the 18th or 19th or 20th century anymore. Times have changed, and to change the mindset of the American people, we have a lot of work to do. Just look at the mess our public schools are in. Or the judges, or the press..... the list goes on an on. We can't expect Bush to change this country's mindset in three short years. Heck, we need to start with our senators and congress, and simultaneously, changing our state and local political atmosphere. There are just too many people who don't know, don't care, or want 'free' stuff from the government. It took Dems 70 years to do that. They had a boost though, with the great depression, WWII, etc. We have to think smart, use the republican party to advance conservative ideas, not unlike the socialists and commies are using the democrat party.

The Bush administration has really done absolutely nothing about this problem. Hard to understand why. I consider this years' elections to be the most likely to have massive fraud due to the new severely flawed voting machines that have been bought in so many large states.

Jim, I'm in agreement with all you're saying. I do not want to elect any Dimocrat, President or any other ofice. [although Zell Miller could be an exception]. I have not advocated voting for any Dimocrat. Voting an for alternative choice to the two parties is not the same as trying to get a Dimocrat elected. I'm displeased and very disappointed, not stupid. I've been vocal but not traitorous.

My position has always been to try to get the message across that true Conservatives are displeased with some of Bush's policy initiatives or with excessive spending on policy that's acceptable. And of course the amnesty.

There's not much I can do beyond sending emails/faxes to the Republicans except withhold my vote and make sure they know why. Unless I deem some or all of the Georgia races to be too close to risk it, I'll vote 3rd party or write in where possible. At this point, the GA contests look to be comfortable for the R's.

They don't need my vote. They do need my message.

I mean that in Wisconsin, they only made the request. It wasn't honored. In Missouri, they kept the polling places open by the order of a (Dim) judge so they could commit even more fraud.

And despite evidence of massive fraud, Ashcroft did very little to prosecute any of them. I think there was a little wrist-slapping of that woman doing the votes-for-smokes scam in Wisconsin but mostly, as I recall, because she came in from out of state.

The vote thieves got away clean in 2000 except for a few.

I recall years back looking over the LP website and they were bragging about how one of their ambitions was to get enough votes to be a spoiler in any given election between the two parties. The idea being that they would favor the more 'libertarian' candidate and make the two party establishments afraid of them.

Sorry, but they're not going to hear your third party or non-voting message unless you get a few million otherwise Republican voters to go along with you. And if successful in that, you will simply be ushering the Democrats back into power and your reward will be watching the judiciary swing totally over to the left. Oh well. Forty more years of court enforced liberalism. No biggie. I'll be long dead before there's any hope of conservatives ever catching up again so guess it really doesn't matter.

Might be, I don't know either. I'm sure we can find out if we want to dig, be my guest...! Maybe because there were local elections they didn't pursue it further. Anyway, I'd rather have states rights than be dictated by the feds.

It will be interesting this next election. My gut tells me the dems are going to lose big time. I hope that is the case. We need to remove them from power, completely. That's been the biggest hurdle. Although we have a majority, the dems are using all the dirty tricks for filibustering etc. Calling on 2/3 majority when that is not in fact the case. We just have to have more conservatives elected in the house and senate. The dems have had too long a stranglehold on our country. We need to eliminate them from any source of power. Make them irrelevant. For too long this country accepted their ideas. It's going to take a lot to change the way people think. And it's going to be a long process, not a one or two term thing. They've almost destroyed this country, we have to stop them. It's going to be a slow process. All of us on FR want change now, but that's now how it works. Thank God our founding fathers thought of this, because if conservatives could make a dramatic change in three years, think what a liberal could do.
