I mean that in Wisconsin, they only made the request. It wasn't honored. In Missouri, they kept the polling places open by the order of a (Dim) judge so they could commit even more fraud.
And despite evidence of massive fraud, Ashcroft did very little to prosecute any of them. I think there was a little wrist-slapping of that woman doing the votes-for-smokes scam in Wisconsin but mostly, as I recall, because she came in from out of state.
The vote thieves got away clean in 2000 except for a few.
