Teens arrested for smashing 'decadent' SUVs
By MIKE GLENN
A teenager serving five years' probation for felony arson in a flag-burning case headed a group of self-described environmental guerrillas who vandalized almost 50 sport utility vehicles, officials said Tuesday.
Precinct 4 deputy constables said the group, led by Randall W. Heinrichs, 18, smashed windows and slashed tires on SUVs in north Harris County from October through December.
Investigators said the vandals used bats embedded with nails to smash windows and cut tires and sprayed graffiti, including Nazi swastikas, on the vehicles.
Four teenagers have been charged with criminal mischief.
Heinrichs, placed on deferred adjudication last year after pleading guilty in the arson case, has a "personal hatred" for SUVs, said Precinct 4 Capt. Rick Brass. "He talks about how they are environmentally unfriendly (and) decadent," he said.
Heinrichs, of Houston, was arrested Jan. 9 and is held in Harris County Jail without bail because of his arson probation.
Lindsey Garofano, 18, of Houston and Jarett Barger, 19, of Cypress were arrested Tuesday. Their bail was set at $5,000 each.
Joshua Killen, 18, of Cypress is expected to turn himself in shortly, deputy constables said.
Garofano told deputies she particularly resented "arrogant ladies" who drive expensive SUVs instead of buying more economical cars and donating the surplus money to charity.

My son watched some guy purposfully spit a nasty lunger on the door handle of an SUV parked right beside us. We waited for the owner to come out of the grocery store and informed him of what had happened and waited until the perp came out.
The SUV owner confronted the jerk and I thought the guy would crap himself. Probably one of the environazis.

In NYC in the early 90s, I was accidentally slightly spashed on my leather jacket by a young teen targeting a woman in a fur.
I kicked the crap out of him. Then I kept on walking. Ah, the lawless Dinkins years!

The title teens is misleading. Yeah, technically they still are teenagers but they are also of the age for adult accountability.

I saw these puke kids on the news last night. They were smirking and defiant looking. I hope the judge locks them up and throws away the key!

Actually, the Constitutional prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment is seen, upon careful reading of the Constitution, only to apply to the state. A little-known footnote in the Constitution permits victims of one-on-one crime to administer a beating of any duration and severity the victim so desires. I don't know how stupid libs can believe all that BS about the Second Amendment only applying to state-run militias and totally overlook this exception!
Well, okay, maybe not . . . But at least it'd stop this crap cold. :-(

I wish I had an SUV; I'd ride by the jail, honk, flip them the finger, and laugh.

I bet the judge 'felt' for the kid and probably approves deep down, knowing the rotten judges we have in this country from top to bottom.
