Wise-cracking funnyman Al Franken yesterday body-slammed a demonstrator to the ground after the man tried to shout down Gov. Howard Dean. The tussle left Franken's trademark thick-rim glasses broken, but he said he was not injured.

Franken - who seemed in a state of shock and out of breath after the incident - was helped back to his feet by several people who watched the tussle. Police arrived soon after.

Glenn Beck told a funny story about Franken last week. They were on the same plane coming back from Iowa, and evidently Franken didn't think he should have to wait in the lines for security and kept haranging the airline personnel to give him special treatment so he could avoid the wait.

Al Franken seems to get involved in fights.

Franken emerged from the crowd and charged one male protester, grabbing him with a bear hug from behind and slamming him onto the floor.

Sounds more like a "sucker punch" to me!

I doubt its schizophrenia, it seems like just run of the mill alcoholism with a dash of "unbalancedness" thrown in. The alcoholism is obvious, and that mixed with a**holeness is never a good combo..

LOL. Maybe Franken needs the services of a proctologist as well as a psychiatrist.

The proctologist can do an exploratory procedure to discover just how far up the anus lurks Franken's hideous head.

I heard he had a small window implanted near his belly button so he could see where he's going.

Franken isn't a supporter of Free Speech, he's a supporter of the 'right' to be heard. That is not part of the Bill of Rights - Freedom of Speech allows for everyone to speak, no guarantee that anyone will listen.

Someone, somewhere needs to catch something like this on video. It would be the end of him.

On that note, someday he'll try this on someone who can take care of him/her self (*hint*Black belt) with a bit more efficiency.

I guess members of the Actor's Guild are now attending AFL-CIO goon training for crowd control.

Franken seems to be progressing nicely in his lessons.

Good point. Franken hit the heckler from behind with a cheap shot, or else goes after national figures (O'Reilly, Hannity, even liberal Colmes) who he knows are not going to get provoked into a fight.

What a brave little girl he is.

If I'm not mistaken, it sounds like the lesson to be learned from this is that anytime a democrat attempts to interrupt or heckle a speech or even someone who is trying to talk, that it is ok to body slam that person. Has Al Franken ever interrupted anyone who was talking? How many people can body slam him or any other dem at once? We can call this approach Al's rules.

Al's been to counseling so much that he's now seeking treatment for addiction to counseling. This psychotic unhinged mouth breather is a liberal icon?

I wonder if this was a set up... something to promote Franken and get his name in the news. Why wouldn't the victim have him charged with assault? </tinfoilhat>

Al Franken seems to get involved in fights. If Rush Limbaugh was a bar room brawler, you'd never heard an end of from liberals.

Damn, I'd like to see that - I bet Limbaugh would punch little Al's lights out. He's only a small guy, I'm surprised no-one has socked him one yet. I'd like to see him mess with someone like John Prescott of the UK. There's a guy who knows how to treat protestors who get violent.

<< .... If Rush Limbaugh was a bar room brawler, you'd never heard an end of from "liberals." >>

But Mr Limbaugh is not a bar room brawler.

Rather, he is a criminal drug procurer and an habituated user.

So those who suffer the "liberal" psychosis talk enlessly about that.

Or being knocked down, as the case may be.

Franken does seem like the kind of person who would carry a gun while trying to stop us from exercising our right to own a gun.
