[history]
So then about a month ago the vice president of these beautiful and deeply confused United States, he of the struggling defibrillator and the shockingly nefarious wife and the gnarled calluses from working Dubya's puppet strings, he of the thin-lipped sneer that makes babies cry and women wince and foreign policies crumble like feta cheese in the freezer, well, Dick goes himself a-huntin'.

I'm not even disgusted by this. That's so beneath Morford's gerbil-packing, prissy standards.

I'm betting this bottom-feeder prefers
real sport:
An overfed doctor corning an unborn, live human baby in the womb, and ripping it to shreds.
Now, that's sport, huh Mark?

Morford has sand in his vagina.
By my tally, there is a net gain in the population of pheasants in the area now.
No carcasses were left to rot in the field, in fact sounds like there may be pheasant under glass at a State Dinner sometime soon.
My Dad started a sportsman's club in NE PA back in the 70s. They bought the eggs, the hens, etc, raised them in coops and released them into the wild. (We preferred the tramping in the fields method to the released from nets hunts, to each their own.)

Wow. Weird thread. More than a few, highly agenda driven people on it.

Your thoughts: Too redneck or clever midwest strategery?
Consider the midwest states and the effect of the Demo riverboat. To gain that extra percentage in the midwest, would it be a good idea for W to go ice fishing?
(OK, stop laughing.)
Arrange for Tony Dean or someone similar to meet GW out at Devils Lake and W's lead goes up 1% for every pound his largest walleye weighs...
or would there be an equal and opposite effect in the coastaliberal states?
I went through that entire thread and found not ONE "I LOVE canned venison, but never treid canned hunt before, is it any good?" posts. FReepers are falling down on the job.

I'll tell you what Cheney is. He's a no nonsense hard headed tough guy. Not into kissing babies on the cheek or reporters on the behind. Never been to war but knew he couldn't effectively run the defense dept. if he took guff from the generals. Was willing to shoot down doomed civilian airliners rather than lose the White House and Capitol. Willing to do what needs to be done without explaining it's for "jobs" or "the children."

Yep, he's willing to do what needs to be done, whether he likes it or not. As for the canned pheasant shoot...well it's no different than chasing a chicken round so you can cut it's head off. And Hubby has shot roosters when we bugged him to go kill one. Pheasants are food. Period. They're also a non-native species, like chickens - and the ostridges my neighbor raises for meat and eggs. If anyone wants pheasants, chickens or ostridges in this country, farms are where they belong.

Dick himself blasted the living crap out of 70 birds... Good! That's less crap falling out of the sky onto my car.

Morford is just envious because he looks swishy in hunting khakis. I suppose he thinks one wears tweed to hunt here.
Game birds, ummmmmm....with bourbon gravy.

And who weeps for the countless numbers of gerbils Morford and her ilk have abused and slaughtered? LOL, is a gerbil any less valuable than a duck or Pheasant. Talk about "canned" hunts.

By the way pheasants are NOT native to the US, so huinting them is a GOOD thing as it is removing a non native species...

That's hilarious It is also a warning. It is from "Bloom County," and was published around 1988, another time when Republicans had a firm grip on the government and pundits were predicting the end of liberalism. John Kerry can beat George Bush if we get too complacent people.

I don't think that you can have a canned pheasant hunt; You can put up fences, but pheasants can fly. It's not as if they're tying them to posts staked into the ground to make them easy to shoot.
They usually just run across the ground like a roadrunner until they get spooked into the air by a hound dog.
A pheasant is just a wild chicken anyway. What's the big deal?
