What's the weather like in Iowa tonight?
Chilly.
Right now it is about 15 degrees, with an expected low of about 5. Not much wind though so it isn't too bad.
I'm avoiding the local stations tonight unless I hear that the candidates are going to express their patriotism by seeing who is brave enough to stick their tongue to a flag pole.
Man I'm glad they'll be leaving tommorrow...

I don't know what is wrong with me this year, but I genuinely don't care about the democrats race. Maybe when it gets close to convention time, I will be interested in the race, but they are so boring, and all so obviously unable to make a race of it, that it isn't too interesting, other than pointing out how goofy the lot of them are.

If he has a rich republican wife, what more blessings could he ask for ?You obviously have never heard Theresa Heinz-Kerry open her mouth.

My suspicion is that Dean will not prevail well since he is being pounded by the other candidtaes. Also, Gephardt with his union thugs will likely squeak out first. Kerry does alright in the cities but bombs in the burbs and rural areas, he comes in third after little Dickie and Dean.
The Breck girl is a true wild card. His wid card is that he resembles and reminds voters of the magical and charming JFK. I suspect the women will go for him in a frenzy.
Kucinich, you say? He might as well go back to Ohio. Cincinnati, more specifically, where he might get a job on their Police Dept. That's the only place he'll ever be where he can beat somebody.

I predict that Dean will do at least slightly better than the poles suggest. I think his supporters will probably be the most likely to actually get to the polls.

Can any registered voter participate? No. You must prove that you hate Bush. Acceptable idenditifcation includes...Photo's of a backyard burning of Bush in effigy,....voodooo doll with a lock of Bush hair and lots of pins in it,....notarized campaign contribution to Saddam's last election.... letter of reference from Barbra Striesand.

Here's to hoping that the Dean machine is as good as it is purported to be.

I predict that Dean will do at least slightly better than the poles suggest. That is all well and good but what about the French ?
Will he do better than the French suggest ?

And I will SPAM what I just said on another thread:
___________
Today would be a good day for us to STOP "discussing" this with these people.
They aren't going to change their minds, and, quite frankly, I'm not sure these "My Way Or The Highway Conservatives" even want to elect Bush.
After tonight, we'll have an ELECTION fight on our hands; it's time for conservatives who care about this country to get together, ignore the naysayers, let them fight among themselves about who is the most principled, while we take care of putting people in office who can move OUR agenda forward.
