SEN. KERRY: ... And, Tim, you can hear the advertisements now; so can I. We saw what they did to challenge the patriotism of Max Cleland, a triple amputee, a man who left three of his limbs on the ground in Vietnam. They challenged his patriotism. His regret is he didnt stand up and fight back.

He continued the interview, "Another thing Tim, they also attacked another veteran who was blinded in the war. For the life of me, I can't understand why he didn't look them in the eyes and stare their cheap smear tactics down!"

And Irish lad, I think. As someone of Irish blood, I am glad to say that John F'n Kerry is not Irish.

Slightly off topic but didn't Cleland's vote against the Boy Scouts really tick off Georgians? I thought Ralph Reed made a hard hitting commercial on it and it really opened people's eyes as to just how liberal (and out of touch with Georgia) Cleland was.
I'm from PA so I'm just going from something I probably read here.

I like this one also:
They failed in Afghanistan, to capture Saddam Hussein in Tora-Bora. That was a miserable operation because they refused to put the American military into the operation.
But they did get Osama in Tikrit, right Mr. Ketchup?

It's a stupid quote on so many levels. He's angry that we refused to put the American military into action at Tora Bora when a few seconds before he's belly-aching about the lack of non-American forces in Iraq!

I was surprised how fiercly Russert went after Kerry. Kerry gave his usual stock BS non-answers.

History has a retort that was much more succinct and terse. Prior to the Battle of Franklin, General NB Forrest was in a heated discussion with Gen John Bell Hood about a suicidal attack Bell had ordered. Forrest told Hood, who had lost the use of an arm and a leg at Chicamauga and Gettysburg, "if you were a whole man I would tear you apart". Forrest left the room after that statement and the Battle of Franklin was as Forrest had predicted, a slaughter.

It's a stupid quote on so many levels. No kidding. The whole interview is loaded with contradictions such as those you pointed out.
