I do not get why the GOP cannot run someone competitive in Illinois...I don't know for sure but it seems to me that for the near future, Illinois is a lost cause for the GOP. The Rats rule there. (If by some miracle you could eliminate the Chicago vote, the Republicans might have a chance but right now, no way.)

What part of the show did this play? I only get to see the second half tonight and would love to watch it. Hopefully it was part of the panel at the end. My favorite part! Although I sometimes miss out on some of the debate cuz my husband starts screaming at Juan, Mara, or whatever wide-eyed broad takes their place. (Do all lib women have the bug eye problem...hillary, pelosi, mara, etc?)
Please let me know. Thanks,
TC

O'Reilly is so busy being "independent" that he works overtime trying not to offend liberals who accuse him of being conservative.
He manages to offend me mightily when he says the tactics of the two parties are the same. Patently untrue and E-Z to document but, again, for ratings sake it's about pretending that both sides are equally culpable.
Sometimes he makes me want to scream when he does this pandering to the liberals!

The whole show was dedicated to Election 2004.
They talked about the presidential and senate races in the first half.

The panel was the whole show. It was fabulous. Brit is a good facilitator, too, in getting everyone to talk.

What made that woman such a hate-filled witch?
If she is married, I feel sorry for her husband.
LOL - I'm pretty sure she's married to David Korn of ''The Nation'' magazine - so you don't need to lose any sleep worrying about her husband!

Stu Rothenberg summed up Carson nicely: He's been running for president since he was four. He's a slimey, calculating politician in the worst sense of the word.

Jack Ryan is the best possible candidate the GOP can send up in Illinois. Only if he does like the Rat who beat B1 Bob and changes the last name. For this (and the last) election cycle "Ryan" equals "crook" in the mind of Illinois voter yet the party leadership only offers Ryans as major candidates.

There is going to be a huge battle in the 04 presidential election for the Hispanic vote, as we all know.
I surfed by Crossfire today for about two seconds, and I think Carville might have let a cat out of the bag. He was asked to predict the Democrat ticket. He answered Hillary, and Bill Richardson, the Governor of New Mexico. I think he was kidding about PIAPS, but dont forget Richardson is a Westerner whose Mama is a Mexican. He is also a dyed in the wool Clintonista with supposed foreign policy experience, and they might think he would lend some credibility to the ticket as a VP.

What percentage of the democrat base makes up the Dean "hate-America" crowd? Maybe a third? A half? I have been curious a how the democrats are going to "come to their senses". I am not sure there are enough moderate democrats out there in the base that vote in primaries.I don't know the percentage, but I'm talking about the general election campaign anyway. Dean's going to turn off a lot of moderate Democrats, probably more than enough to guarantee a Bush victory.
He's certainly not going to be able to reinvent himself as a moderate after sewing up the primaries. The information flow is too sophisticated now, and the GOP will be able to insure the voting public is reminded every single day of Hatred-Powered Howard, whether ABCBSNBC want to cover up the "old Howie" or not.

Thanks, It is comming on again right now in Phoenix. Will make sure to watch it.

Janet Napalitano as VP. She has certainly F'edU Arizona by ignoring laws and doing what she damn well pleases."
JD Hayworth is going to run against Janet - and he will crush her.
the only problem is that you will have to wait until 2006 for him to win.
Music to my ears.
To: Pubbie
We only need Jeffords to always vote for cloture because we are going to add 5 Conservatives to the Senate, and thus negating the strength of the RINOs.I agree. When we get more Senate seats, there is no reason for Pubbies to take Jeffords back into the fold. They won't need him. He was a RINO when he was a Pubbie. Just offer him some trades like you do with any other Rat in order to get his vote only when absolutely needed.

The pubbie leadership can also tighten the screws on them ---threats of party-switching would be futile with a 6-seat majority.
