"Barone said the Republicans would probably lose Oklahoma."

Why would he have said that? I don't understand why they would make a prediction like that about one of the South's most Republican states (at the federal level, at least). Brad Carson isn't a god. Personally, I think the GOP will hold this one ... does anybody have a good reason why they won't?

Richardson has had at least 1 affair, and I don't think Dean wants to deal with those issues like Clinton did.

The only reason I've heard is that Carson could turn it into a rural vs. city contest with Carson uniting all the rural folk behind him. However, Carson loses if the "liberal" label is stuck to him, which Kirk Humphreys is already getting started on doing. The OK GOP saw what happened with Largent and seem determined not to make the same mistakes twice.

Don't forget that Largent and Henry were locked in a dead heat, with Henry winning by a few votes. There is no Democratic 'comeback' here. Kirk Humphreys is a Republican and will no doubt stand for conservative ideals - Carson isn't even very conservative as a Democrat, from what I hear.

Alos, Largent had a third party candidate sucking a tremendous amount of votes from him, and he still only narrowly lost.

About Carson, we know he's not that conservative, but it'll be up to Humphreys to define him that way to the voters who don't follow politicians like we do. One too many a Democrat has fooled the electorate into thinking they're "middle of the road centrists" (Case in point: Senator Mary Landrieu). Humphreys looks like he could expose Carson good.

Brit is better when he's on the panel answering as a guest and not a host.

If that happens, it means that the Dems will be ripping themselves apart for most of the year, and that a reconciliation behind the eventual winner will be very late, causing many Dems to be still PO'ed at the winner (whoever he is) come November.

McAwful made sure that the bloodletting won't be going on most of the year by moving up and compressing the primaries. It will all be over by the end of March. The only caveat is if no one can obtain enough delegates to sew up the nomination through the primaries and must depend on a brokered convention.
