One house was vacant, the other occupied by one man who was rescued. No word on occupants of the plane and the TV station went directly to another program.

The just treat thems as news when they become available,
but well before that they'll post details on the accident,
such as a/c type, registry, occupant list, and what, if
anything, is known about the mishap.

Used to work out of the DPD's NW station, next to Love Field. Fortunately, no planes went down during that time.

For those without access to Dallas maps, Love Field is about 8 miles due south of Addison Airport. It looks like the crash was a couple of miles east of the North/South line between the airports.

Whatever the outcome, check here in about a week: http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/month.asp Here's what NTSB has as its only report (a "preliminary" report) on the NYC crash on 11/12/01:
"On November 12, 2001, an Airbus 300-600 experienced a loss of control upon initial climbout and crashed into a residential area in Belle Harbor, New York."
