Anybody out there in TSA land will tell you that you're on the line while you get your background checked. Obviously a prelim is done but it may take six weeks for a full one. As with air marshals they can't keep these guys on board.
This episode got funny press. Wait til the one that causes lives. I love the one where the screeners forgot to turn on the metal detector on and just let passengers through! Move along.

Or the one TSA made a mother (with child) drink her own breast milk to determine it wasn't [insert menacing liquid here]. My hindsight is on which scares me to death what is going on now. Screeners had absolutely no SOP's (IMO before TSA)to deal with customers. They [US treasury]couldn't pay those guys and people had mortgages and bills to pay that the Admiral had to personally vouch for future payment. That's inside stuff. /rant

Now, let me get this straight...if she paid for her education by working at a strip club, instead of through a government program, she can never qualify for a position of responsibility? (Devil's Advocate)

"Now, let me get this straight...if she paid for her education by working at a strip club, instead of through a government program, she can never qualify for a position of responsibility? (Devil's Advocate)" Walp, it appears the "connection" here is that she was hired not just as a screener, but as a screener supervisor
Supervisor meaning one who has experience in any given discipline, act, function, skill, etc.
From what I know about strippers (which is miniscule other than they take their clothes off in front of a mob of horny old pervs), their work experience does not relate to the ability to pick out a terrorist from a crowd (or does it).

Is that a homeland security head hunter interviewing a prospective airport security supervisor?
