It's 1988 Presidential debate/Bernie Shaw/"What if your wife was raped . . .?" all over again.

Asked how he would persuade people who were not opposed to the war to vote for him instead of President Bush, Dean responded, "By going after him on terrorism, where he's really weak."

HUH?

Right..ok..let's put it like this.."Asked how BerniesFriend is going to beat Shaquille O'Neal in a one-on-one basketball game, BerniesFriend, who is 41, only 6', hasn't played competitive ball in over 20 yrs, responded, 'By going after him under the goal, where he's really weak.'"

Please God, let it be Dean..

This guy's not playing with a full deck.

Your candor is appreciated, however, I am waiting for Howard to come out and publicly state the same!

His rhetoric leads me to believe that he is doing everything in his power to thwart his own efforts in becoming POTUS.

No Presidential candidate could possibly be sincere in making statements as he has made and actually expect to be elected to the most powerful position in the world.

Thoughts on his Reasons for doing so would be greatly appreciated for his stupidity in his speech is NOT something that makes a person comfortable with his ability to gain such an achievement as being a candidate for POTUS.

Asked whether bin Laden should be tried in the United States and put to death, Dean told the Concord Monitor: "I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials."

Where does he get the idea that his is an "old-fashioned notion"??? I guarantee him that if he were to ask oldtimers in the USA their only question would be whether UBL should be tortured or not before execution. No, Dean's idea is a new one trotted out by Leftists who are afraid to say that they're opposed to the death penalty even for monsters.

Osama is innocent and the world is safer with Saddam in power.

Thanks Coward Dean.

Wow...

Dean would never preemptively strike or even counter-attack without UN approval. He would just play down all threats like Clinton and issue a subpoena for Bin Laden to appear before a judge in NY.

A follower of the international socialist movement.

Up until now, I thought he was just a kook. In my mind this proves he is not only part of the hate-America crowd, but striving to be its leader.

"Is Dean a 'real' politician? If I was into conspiracies, I'd think this guy is a Republican plant."
Great thought. Unfortunately it's too good to be possible.

the press is gonna kill him on this one......

In your dreams. The major press will give him a pass on this one like they do all the idiotic statements made by the 9 dwarves.

If people saw 1/10th of the actual statements we assemble here at FR from minor press sources, the 9 dwarves would have about 25 supporters between them all.

Just when I thought Dean couldn't get any MORE wacked out.....he goes and says something like this. I pray he does not get elected to the White House. Republicans should not get too cocky thinking Dean has no chance. He is very dangerous.
