The Dems an Dean are living in a pre 9/11 world.

If they keep this up it's over.

What penalty could a person dead over two years face?

I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials."

This guy's not playing with a full deck.

What's this "judicial system" crap?..If we get him, alive, he'd be tried by a military tribunal. If Dean were president, today, we'd have 150 FBI agents on the ground in Iraq...

After Clark's "Saudi Commandos" capture him he can be brought back for Dean-sanctioned trial.

(Except that he's dead, Jim)

This guy is so arrogant he does not realize what a stupid set of statements he just made. While he may be technically correct, he is not politically astute enough to judge what the average Joe will think of his statements.

This is war, Howie, not an episode of Law & Order.

With this kind of thinking sixty years ago, we'd all be doing the goosestep right now...

I have the feeling that Dean has few real friends. Look for him to try to gin-up he base to a frenzy not seen since the 2000 election. In a broad sense I don't think he is a very likable guy.

"Dean questioned whether the Bush administration's use of force against Iraq had anything to do with Libya's announcement that it will scrap its programs for weapons of mass destruction."

Is it possible that anyone could be that stupid?

I hope Dean gets the nomination. Bush will clean his clock.

"Asked how he would persuade people who were not opposed to the war to vote for him instead of President Bush, Dean responded, "By going after him on terrorism, where he's really weak."

And what the devil does this mean? I thought that's what President Bush was doing.

He's not even technically correct. Bubba treated the first WTC attack as a crime and not an act of war, and look where that got us. He did the same with the bombings in Saudi, the African Embassy bombings, the attack on the U.S.S. Cole. Howie's been displaying the same kind of thinking that Bubba did and still does. And it won't work any better this time.

It's getting more and more difficult for me to decide whether it would be better for us if Al Sharpton or Dr. Dean were to be the Dims nominee to get his a** creamed in November 2004!

Is Dean a 'real' politician? If I was into conspiracies, I'd think this guy is a Republican plant. I did think Bush would win a 45 states landslide. I may have to readjust that prediction to 49 or 50 states.
