One of the fun things aboard the Zuiderdam will be a goodly number of door prizes donated to our FRN fundraising cruise by generous freeper donors.

We already have a number of quality, unique items. The cruise committee is rarin' to award them throughout the cruise week to our lucky seafarers. The prizes will NOT be raffled and all folks in our group are eligible to win. It will be the luck of the draw.

We can still use a few more prizes. If any of you nice freepers out there have a suitable article you'd like to donate to this cruise, please freepmail me privately at "MinuteGal". The prizes are a secret till we hear the shrieks of joy from our lucky cruiseniks!

Many thanks to the generous donors who have already pledged specific prizes:

BIZZY BUGZ

UTAH GIRL

MINUTEGAL

HOOSIER MAMA

(CHEF) CARLO 3B

OSWEGODEEE

You supportive freepers are the greatest....and your prizes are really, truly, absolutely KEWL.....WOW!

IMPORTANT NOTICE !

If you want to take advantage of the balcony discount and the upgrades offered by Holland America at this time, it's important you book RIGHT NOW for the FReeps Ahoy cruise.

THIS SALE EXPIRES FEBRUARY 29, so you should get your reservation in by this coming Friday.

After the 29th, our special freeper group rates remain and will remain. However, this promotional deal by HA is nice frosting on the cake for you to book a great cabin with your own verandah. Here you can view the blue Caribbean and beautiful tropical island scenery every day of your vacation.

Don't delay, pick up the phone and dial 1-800-890-7583 (Pacific time) today. Wanda, our honorary freeper travel agent, will help you with your reservation in every way. Only a deposit is necessary now, and you can do everything by credit card.

Thanks for posting the pix from FReeps Ahoy 2, Bob. They certainly speak for themselves when it comes to rest and relaxation in the balmy Caribbean.

I believe that's a shot of Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman where we had such a great time paddling in the warm water, sunning on lounges in our freeper "conversation cluster", and enjoying a fabulous tropical barbque feast. Note our cruise ship in the background!

This cruise we'll spend the day at one of the world's most beautiful beaches, Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, Holland America's private island. Water sports of all kinds and a luscious hot and cold buffet lunch under a shady pavilion. Outdoor thatched-roof bars with tropical drinks, a little West Indian "village" for shopping or prowling, a native steel band, and a tropical nature trail in the jungle part of Half Moon Cay.

The beautiful people seated at dinner are (correct me if I'm in error on anyone):

Clockwise, starting at 6 o'clock.....Mr. and Mrs. Seeking the Truth, Mr. and Mrs. Interesting Times, The Shrew, and Mr. and Mrs. Dalereed.

On the Zuiderdam, our group will all be dining together and the lively conversation as well as the food will be scintillating.

ATTENTION CRUISERS ! GREAT NEWS !

Hey, Hey! We've been able to get a package deal from the Embassy Suites in Ft. Lauderdale for early bird freepers arriving the day before embarkation.

A lot of us like to arrive at the port city a day early. It's just more relaxing and there's no chance of missing the boat!

Last year, we had an accomodations package deal with the Miami Embassy, and it was fabulous. I just got the word that our group will get the same deal in Ft. Lauderdale at the same low cost.

On Friday, May 21, freepers arriving a day early will be transported from the airport to the Embassy in the hotel's courtesy van. You will find an extremely nice room accomodation. Then, there'll be a cocktail hour for our group before dinner. All you can drink, hic, and snackies, to boot.

There's a restaurant in the hotel and your din-din is the only thing not included in the package. Or you may want to opt for a different restaurant in the Ft. Lauderdale area. But we DO have fun that night in the Embassy restaurant and bar.

Next morning (Saturday, May 22), our group will have a delicious and varied hot breakfast buffet. Let me tell you, they have good food!

Then, the hotel's courtesy van will take us and our luggage directly to the Holland America port terminal.

ALL OF THE ABOVE EXCEPT YOUR DINNER IS INCLUDED in our group's package deal which will be only $124 plus tax.

Again, the package price includes private van transportation from the airport to the Embassy, a free cocktail hour, a complimentary breakfast, and then, van transportation to our fabulous liner, the Zuiderdam. Fantastic deal!

If you've already registered and want to stay at the Embassy with the gang (for a little pre-party getting-acquainted party), phone Wanda again at 1-800-890-7583. She'll take care of your room reservation and you'll prepay by credit card. Then you'll be good to go on everything!

Our group price will hold firm as long as we register for a minimum of 10 rooms. So please do your sweet Leni a favor and call Wanda right away so I don't get grey hairs over us meeting the minimum requirement.

As we did last year, we invite Ft. Lauderdale area freepers to drop in at the Embassy and have an adult beverage or dinner with the gang. Last year in Miami, freeper Luis Gonzalez stopped in to see us at the hotel, and then escorted some of our group on a sightseeing tour of the very interesting and jumpin' Little Havana.

The fun aspects of this cruise are starting to pile up, fellow freepers. You don't want to miss this opportunity for a great vacation. Life is short, and this carefree dream vacation for you is only a phone call to Wanda away.

I love that poem and your little addition at the end! Being a water baby, I would love to spend days and nights on the beach or the water.

Listening to the ebb and flow of the tide. The waves crashing on the shore when the sea is angry or the wavelets lapping when the sea is happy.

The first FReeper cruise is a memory that I will always cherish. I hope that everyone has the happiest and best time on the cruise.

I love the poem, also, and your comments above are as eloquent as a poet.

Too many folks today are caught up in a rat race or have become couch/computer potatos. They don't realize that our bodies and spirit need rest, relaxation, restoration and a change in routine once in a while.

A vacation can be viewed as an expense, or can be seen as part of an investment in health preventative maintenance.

There's nothing like the rhythms of the soothing sea, the fresh breezes, the unpolluted air, the vitamin-filled sunshine, the well-balanced meals and the regular activity, exercise, even deck naps (!) that we'll experience on the Caribbean in May.

You'll be missed, Dixie, durn it all!

Hi, Bob....good to hear from you. Because the Zuiderdam has such a plethora (impressive word, there) of cabin categories, we were unable to post them all on this site.

Just make a quick phone call to our gal Wanda tomorrow (1-800-890-7583 Pacific time zone) and she'll give you the price for the location and category you want. Or you can call her right now....it's 4 PM here in EST, but only 1 PM in sunny California.

She'll also do your air arrangements if you want, plus book you for our Embassy Suites package if you plan on arriving a day early like many of us. The details on the Embassy deal are a couple of replies above this one.

Looking forward to seeing you and Mrs. Bob aboard. Yippee!
