Qhadafi's having "gotten the hint" bothers me to no end.

He is a true survivor and knows not to provoke the anger of the US. What I truly fear is that Qhadafi knows that something is up, and he wants to make sure that he is not blamed for it in any way. I have no doubt that he will give up his "WMD" because they are elsewhere but I fear they are about to be used on US!

Well many Arabs are already committed their lives to wiping out D.C. and the Vatican and all other non-muslim sites, I would think if they were able they would have done it already.

Agreed, and I further believe that they middle eastern vermin get a wrong headed view of our country from their own komrades who have immigrated to the USS. Living very close to Dearborn, Michigan (West Beirut), I have been in close contact with these people most of my life. I think it is easy for those who live here to portray us as soft and focused on having a good time rather than focused and unafraid. Unfortunately too many Americans have forgotten 9/11; fortunately, a lot of those who forgot don't bother to vote. Additionally, not too much needs to be said about ABC, CNN, NBC, CBullS#hit, etc and their approach to the war on terror.

Nuking Mecca would cause more than one billion people worldwide to spend each and every waking moment focused on killing at least one American that day. We would quickly resemble WWII Germany towards the latter stages. Remember, Germany was vastly technically superior to America at the time. They were crushed by numbers.

We would be too. Nuking Mecca is a suicidal folly.

The full breadth and scope of American power has barely been tapped in this war. I'm going to tell you right now, if these people, al-Qaeda or whoever try another 9/11-scale attack, the world is going to be a very different place. We are prosecuting this war in the traditional, civilized American way right now. We're doing it with conventional weapons and with as much cooperation and consultation as we can internationally. If it happens again, you are going to be amazed.

This mighty nation is going to unleash its full strength. Howard Dean and the rest of the Democrats can run around and say whatever they want if that awful time comes. I don't care. If this country is attacked and thus forced to unleash the full scope if its weaponry, the people that said they would never do anything about it and who played politics with the issue by delaying a vote on the Homeland Security Department's creation and such, are not going to stand a prayer at the polls. The president who's trying to stop this, who's the only president in 12 years to seriously engage this threat of radical Islamofascists, will be reelected in a landslide.
