Mice stolen in laboratory break-in
More than 400 mice have been stolen by burglars who broke into a Hampshire pharmaceutical testing laboratory.
The thieves took 406 mice and 16 cages in Sunday's early morning break-in at Wickham Laboratories, near Fareham.
Police say the mice do not "present a danger to the public" but urge anyone who finds a discarded cage not to touch it but to inform the police.
It is not yet known how many people were involved in the break-in or if it was the work of an animal liberation group.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Fareham CID.

"...the mice do not "present a danger to the public" but urge anyone who finds a discarded cage not to touch it..." Somehow, I think they may be trying to avoid a general PANIC!

If you DO touch the cage, please contact FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder for information.

Oh, you mean if they get bit and then have to ride in one of those hygenic-challanged NHS ambulances to a less-than-spotless-does-anybody-here-speak-English NHS hospitals?

Maybe if they would label everything "Bubonic Plague" the morons would leave them alone.

Rodents are lots of fun to stick in pockets.
Particularly when said pockets do not belong to you :D
Just think, someone walks by you and then a fuzzy little face is looking up at you...

406 mice? Amateurs. The old ORNL Mouse House had 200,000 mice - the new one will hold 60,000.
Oh - and they're protected by professionals carrying H&K MP5s.
Come and get them, Animal Liberation Front...please?
