Rush shuts down DU again!
Posted on 12/15/2003 10:30:42 AM PST by ConservativeMan55
Rush is quoting posters from DU again. They're server crashed!
He was quoting about how posters thought Bush was more of a danger than Saddam!

Here is
part of the story. Jermaine apparently represents the Islam side of Michaels defense. While Geragos represents the side thats trying to get Michael off. Oops. Guess I should word it like that.

I've had people attempt to pass the site you point to as "the gospel truth" more than once. When I ask for independent (and verifiable) confirmation, the conversation quickly ends.
I'm not buying the notion until someone can verify this on something other than a non-attributable Geocities page.

"He likes to have their server crash, huh? Cracks me up."I think he'd prefer that people could log on and see how hateful, immature and kooky they are...

I saw it on Foxnews and then did the search and found the Geocities page. I'll keep looking though. I'm an honest man, lol.

I see my fellow FReepers have already given you the web address for this pesthole. Word of warning, if you go to there take a bar of soap and a can of Raid with you, and be prepared to bail. You will need a shower when you get back and possibly some counseling. We stand ready to do an intervention!

The Democrats have changed. Just as an example, if I could go back in time 45 years or so, I think I could've sat down and carried on a pleasant, substantive conversation with, say, Hubert Humphrey. We'd have been in different solar systems as far as our political beliefs, but I think it would've been a substantive, enlightening, enjoyable meeting because he was an intelligent, decent, classy guy and because we and the "old left" or "old-line liberals" had one thing in common ... a love for this country, regardless of political disagreements.Exactly, neighbor, exactly.
Hubert Humphrey was a good man. Ditto Scoop Jackson and Pat Moynihan. You could disagree with the solutions they had, or the conclusions they reached, but I never doubted that they were trying to look out for America and her citizens.
I recall Pat Moynihan met and talked with a Freeper demonstration not long before he died, and they made a point of mentioning how civil he was, and how he lauded their getting actively involved. There used to be more on that side of the aisle like him, and I miss their passing.
