It didn't take long for reporters hostile to President Bush to begin spinning the news of Saddam Hussein's capture. "The one thing to remember is that, even though we've got Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden is still out there," complained Washington Post reporter Robin Wright on NBC's "Meet the Press."
"And in many ways he's far more dangerous than Saddam Hussein was," she added.
On the same program, Time Magazine columnist Joe Klein suggested that another 9/11 attack could revitalize Democrat hopes of defeating Bush next November.
"This election, more than any other I've covered, is out of the hands of the politicians and in the hands of the events that take place in the world," he noted.
"All it would take, God forbid, would be one [domestic terrorist attack] - not even on the level of the World Trade Center. You know, say they take out an elementary school or a movie theater or a shopping mall.
"That could change everything," Klein predicted.

I think Klein needs to take his meds. After all, look how many terror attacks took place during The Bent Ones tenure;
WTC1, the Cole, the Kenya Embassy, and frankly, I'm not convinced that the bombing of the Fed Building was just a lone nut.

Typical leftist racism. Saddam killed 1.5 million Iraqis, Iranians, and Kuwaitis, and had a thousand times the resources, but Osama is more dangerous?

"All it would take, God forbid, would be one [domestic terrorist attack] - not even on the level of the World Trade Center. You know, say they take out an elementary school or a movie theater or a shopping mall. Perhaps the reporter should look at WWII. Chamberlain was for not engaging Hitler and just letting him take as much of Europe as he wanted. Churchill came to power to oppose Hitler rather than appease him. Churchill sent troops to France and they were defeated. Then Hitler started bombing London.
I would ask that reporter after the Germans started bombing London did the Brits ask for Nevile Chamberlain back?
With Howard Dean as the Democrat nominee another 9-11 next September would reelect bush with 80 percent of the vote.

If joe klien said that he is a Bloody traitor and god help him if i ever see him on the street... That makes me sick that a reporter would say that.

I'm not convinced that the bombing of the Fed Building was just a lone nut. You could add TWA 800 to that list, methinks.

I will have to agree with Robin Wright on this. Osama is a much greater threat to the U.S. than Saddam ever was. I am very glad we captured Saddam, but OBL would be the real prize. Hopefully, he's already dead.

Time Magazine columnist Joe Klein suggested that another 9/11 attack could revitalize Democrat hopes of defeating Bush next November. If they believe this then they are more delusional than I ever thought possible. Another 9-11 and the Democrats are out for a generation. And the gloves will come off.

Ah yes...let's do a Dim-Spin Forecast:
1. They could/should have gotten him sooner.
2. Osama is still out there, so Saddam doesn't matter.
3. Just one more little-bitty terrorist attack in the US and this doesn't matter.
4. Bush has known where he was, TIMED the capture for max political advantage.
5. That poor old man, abandoned and alone, was probably traumatized when he was captured by those 600 mean ol' soldiers. He needs legal help and counseling.
6. Did the troops have a seach warrant for that farm? NO? Well, the capture was illegal and he must be released.
7. Obviously the Iraqi journalists yelling "death to Saddam" during the news conference were CIA operatives.
8. Only $750,000 in cash with him? He must have given the rest to charity. And those soldiers better have given him a receipt for it OR ELSE.
9. Not EVERY Iraqi is happy about the capture. We need to do some focus-group polling to determine how to correct that.
Whew! Little early on Sunday morning for such full-immersion saracasm, but now we can all relax and watch the spin unfold. What a great day.

The Democrat strategy stated clearly in leaks months ago from the DLC included, among other things, building doubt about the facts affecting all Bush decisions, mounting a campaign to make President Bush appear to be hawkish and impetuous, and to erode the moral resolution of the electorate. In other words, create fear, doubt, and demoralization, electing the Demorat candidate, whoever it might be,
negatively.
A dangerous strategy, surely, but the only one left to liberals. They are without ideas or hope, so they must win through destruction. It is a common fascist tactic: gotterdammerung.

I'd love for the President to say at noon. "We've got Saddam and Osama's been in our freezer for the last 12 months."

Is anyone going to tell NewsMax that the only way for the Bin Ladens to survive, is with the help of the Husseins. Without safehaven, weapons, and money, the Bin Ladens don't have any way to live. What a bunch of dome and gloom idiots that continue to display their bias and, either, their treasonist dishonesty or their blatant stupidity. Both are offensive.
To: kattracks
Ben Ladin has long been digested fly droppings. The only thing that will ever been seen of him again are the clips Al Queda attaches to their propaganda films.

Now they're (Andrea Mitchell) spinning "a rise in the attacks" on NBC. I can honestly say, I hate these people. They are pure evil.
