PARIS (Reuters) - French President Jacques Chirac says he is delighted at the arrest of Saddam Hussein by U.S.-led forces in Iraq and believes it will clear the way for Iraqis to rule Iraq.
"The president is delighted at the arrest of Saddam Hussein. This is a major event which should strongly contribute to the democratisation and the stabilisation of Iraq and allow the Iraqis to once more be masters of their destiny in a sovereign Iraq," Chirac said in remarks transmitted by telephone by his spokeswoman Catherine Colonna.
Chirac strongly opposed the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and the issue has been a source of friction with Washington.

Up yours Jack...I mean Jacques

He's delighted because conjugal visits with Saddam now become possible for him. Jacques has really missed his buddy.

Chiraq is delighted that Saddam was captured-
And he wants his money back...
To: Paleo Conservative
Brit Hume (about 15 minutes ago) had a wonderful monologue speculating on the discomfort that might be felt in Paris and Moscow anticipating the debriefing of Saddam... wondering what little factoids may be revealed. Delicious! Certainly better than the crow Putin and Chiraq are consuming today.

Announcements of this sort of news responded to by "spokespersons" are indicative of a leader to depressed or humiliated to face the public.

Now is the time for the other shoe to drop on the Axis of Weasels...and Ho Ho Dean is probably making arrangements to hide Bin Laden in a cellar so that Dean has a foreign policy issue to whine about during the campaign.
