Compassionate Society Should Discourage Deadly Homosexual Behavior
American Family Association ^ | March 19, 2001 | Gary Glenn, State Director AFA/Michigan

The New England Journal of Medicine reports that men who smoke risk cutting 7.3 years off their lives. Oxford University's International Journal of Epidimiology, 1997, reports "...Life expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men...nearly half of gay and bisexual men currently aged 20 years will not reach their 65th birthday. Judging by the years at risk, homosexual activity is up to three times deadlier than smoking. Click on the link and you will be directed to where you can click on another link to see the official statistics from the Oxford University international Journal of Epidimiology. At that link you will also other links showing that men who have sex with men are 860% more likely to contract a sexually transmitted disease(STD), INCREASING up to 500% their risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. As well, Between The Lines, Michigan's statewide gay newspaper reports the risk of anal cancer "soars" by nearly 4,000% for men who have sex with men. Pap smears for women have dropped the risk of cervical cancer by 75% , from 40-50 per 100,000 to 8 to 10 per 100,000. Even if a pap smear for gay and bisexual men is ever developed, not looking likely at present, a similiar drop of 75% would still mean that men who have sex with increase their odds of developing anal cancer by 800%. Between The Lines states that a condom only offers limited protection against developing anal cancer.

Tom...when I hear about "fisting" classes being taught to children under the guise of tolerance...that's wrong. When I see deliberate attempts to pray on weak and emotionally troubled children...to bring them into a loving community...that's wrong. When I turn on the TV (C-Span) and see a radcal lesbian pointing to the Washington Monument and calling it a giant dildo...that's just wrong; or Lesbians dressed like nuns mocking the church. Living in Orlando I get to experience Gay Days every year...and so does my child if I pick the wrong day to visit. I see you're Gay, and more power to you. This criticism isn't directed at you; its directed at the activists who have made a deliberate attempt to "shove" their lifestyles down everyone's throat.

There are at least 2 good jokes here that I will try to abstain from making...........

Yesterday I saw a news story that said two brigadeer Generals and a Rear Admiral had confessed to being homosexual. I passed on the obvious there too.

Don't try to deceive people by creating your own titles and there will be no problem.

What kills me is that liberals ENCOURAGE our kids to take up this deadly life style choice. They will rip someone's head off for smoking, or encouraging a kid to smoke, but will encourage even more dangerous behavior.

Every school system that teaches "tolerance" should be sued if they don't emphasize this data.

Agreed, but do you have a reference for this allegation? I find it hard to believe, even in gay-saturated America.

You are correct and incorrect. I would also rather praise Him for a soul saved, but seeing God do what He said He would is also a source of praise.

The Bible tells us that there is no secret sin, there is no way to hide sin forever, and all sin has consequences both here and forever. The first command with promise is to honor our father and mother that our days may be long on the earth. There is no way that this death style honors them, and few of those in this deathstyle have truly long days anymore. We do not rejoice that a sinner has been cut down and now has to face eternal judgement, rather we should mourn for them. At the same time we can and should rejoice that God is true to His word, even if every man had to be shown a liar.

So if someone is simply praising God that a sinner is dead, I also think that is wrong. We should rejoice when God delivers His children from persecution in whatever manner He chooses, but to be happy just because someone died instead of being transformed, I would agree that that is the wrong time and reason for rejoicing.

They are less obsessed with other kinds of sins. In fact, they never mention them. I guess they are in charge of that sort of thing.

I remember it quite well. I'll see if I can find it. How many do we need to post? What about the ones with the gays coming to schools and reading the stories to the kids about being gay? What about the ones teaching kids in kindergarten about accepting homosexuality as normal behavior when most of those kindergarteners don't even know what sex is yet?

Just go to Google and type in "Fistgate." Hannity and O'Reilly both had the parents on who were involved in these cases...which were a couple years ago I believe. Just a snippet"

Fistgate Teachers Knew They Were Violating Trust

Fistgate Teachers Knew They Were Violating Trust

Did Weld and Cellucci Know? Does Gov. Swift Understand?

Local School Districts Still in Charge
By Atty. J. Edward Pawlick

The teachers at Fistgate knew that the public would not approve what they were teaching to the children about graphic homosexual sex, one of those teachers revealed last month. [W]e flew sort of below the radar screen for a long time; Margot Abels told Boston's homosexual newspaper, Bay Windows.

She taught sex to the children because she thought she knew better than the parents what should be taught to them. She says she had the support of state officials during her seven years at the state Department of Education...."

Yes being gay is a choice.

That is opinion.

The fact that I think you are correct in most cases, is irrelevant.

Each and every example you listed in indefensible.

Just as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton don't speak for the black community as a whole, neither do these "gay activist" speak for everyone who is gay. In fact, I'd say they speak for very few gay people, at least the one's I know.

What troubles me is that I find most people on free republic to be smart and questioning of information that is fed to them, until it comes to issues about homosexuality.

I do read the links, and the links to the studies in those links. As with most things these days, these are facts that have been stretched to fit the message rather than letting the facts speak for themselves. And no one questions that because it something they want to believe.

I'm here to make people think and engage, hopefully, in an intelligent discussion about the issues, (and not exclusively about homosexual issues.)

If your opposition to homosexuals is based on your religious beliefs, I can accept that and to some degree understand it, since I was raised in a Southern Baptist home. For some reason, people seem to think that I woke up one day and easily discarded my religious upbringing and decided to choose to be gay. Nothing could be further from the truth.

However, when there is discussion on this board is seems to quickly deteriorate to the kind of banter I heard in the junior high lockeroom in referencing anal sex. That is the type of comment that you won't see me respond to in any way.

I think we try (some of us) to have intelligent conversations about this subject, but a lot of us are tired of the subject. I feel like it's shoved down my throat. I'm sorry to tell you I find it distasteful. Not only because of my religion, but because of my knowledge of anatomy. I just think it's a distasteful behavior, and unnatural. I don't want to send my son to school to be taught that this is one of the ways people have sex when they grow up. He is in third grade and doesn't realize what normal sex is yet. I don't want or appreciate the schools and television tying to teach him these things. I'm sure you can understand that.

Tom, I agree with you. And I really can sympathize with your position. It is not you or your lifestyle that offends me. It is however, the activists who carry on this cause...and it is destructive. And it's not just destructive to those they are doing the damage to, it is destructive to the Gay movement, itself.

It is turning live-and-let-live people like me into harderned opposers of the homosexual agenda who are sick of it. Tolerance is a two-way street, and yet while the straght community is practically being foced to accept your beliefs, many in your community do not reciprocate that same tolerance. I'm not saying this about you, but about those Gays who won't tolerate those who believe differently than them.

And this isn't even a religious thing for me as I'm not a religious person. Yet, anyone who objects or dissents from the Gay community is then labeled a right-wing religious wacko. I only hope you can understand some of our positions the way I can understand yours. Peace.
