Conservatives are now the "Blacks" of the Republican Party

In a discussion on this thread Tom Ridge's Immigration Remarks Draw Fire a post regarding the conservative angst about the recent campaign finance reform that Bush signed into law and that the Supreme Court approved (and the approval was praised by the White House), on the heals of the Medicare entitlement enacted under a Republican controlled government the following was posted:

I'm hearing Rush now. He claims the republicans have ONLY one party to go to. He has put this issue squarely on the problem. We need to vote outside of this corrupt party apparatus.

I also heard this on Rush and my blood boiled. Rush said conservatives have no place else to go and thus will continue to vote as a block to the Republicans.....and then it hit me. That is exactly what we conservatives lament about Blacks and the Democratic party. Black Democrats who vote straight Democratic and are rewarded by being ignored.

In other words, Conservatives are now the "Blacks" of the Republican Party!!!

I urge the same solution to Republican conservatives that Black conservatives offer to Black Democrats. QUIT! Become independents and let the parties fight for our votes. If we can't take the GOP back we should leave the GOP.

I did not change. My party did. I thank God Ronald Reagan is unable to comprehend what is happening to the party he saved.

I agree, but I hoped that he would have gotten more votes than Clinton. That is why I voted for him.

Did you just . . . tattle on him? Were you in the U.S or the French Air Force?

I voted for Dole, but with a sinking feeling in the pit of my belly... knowing he stood no chance in Hell. The machine had masticated him thoroughly by then.

OK... what group, aside from black Americans, receives lip service from the Democrats and vote overwhelming for them, but get little or no benefit in return?

I don't expect the RNC to acknowledge my notes to them, I just figure if they see a trend then they my mend their ways.

You are right, a donation to FR will go further!

Another one that wants to call people traitors because they think for themselves. If people leaving the party to join an independant is being a traitor, then Strom Thurmond was a traitor for leaving the Dem. party to join the GOP. Is that what you are saying?

Conservatives will either vote Republican or not vote.

When conservatives vote, Republicans usually win.

The Bush administration doesn't want conservatives to vote.

I have been posting to this website since 1998 and most people here know I have a libertarian view of political life. I am a conservative person in my personal beliefs.

Yeah, you and Bill Clinton.

None of this is any of your business BTW and if you are going to cry to the mods, you might want to be careful that they don't look into all the posts where you called a variety of posters cowards and traitors.

They can read each and every one of my posts and compare them line by line with each of yours. Cowardice, treason, and surrender are not an option for our country at this time and your agenda of defeating Bush is transparent to genuine conservatives, of whom you just admitted you are not one. So the question is, why are you trolling FreeRepublic ?

why not throw Reagan at them?
He joined the GOP because "my party (DNC) left me"
Was Reagan, a great man and idol of conservatives both neo- and paleo-, a "traitor" by their lights?

Even African dung beetles realize after awhile that they are getting dumped on & it's becoming more apparent everyday how the GOP feels about conservatives. Wake up and smell the dung. Sometimes a third party looks very appealing. Time will tell, but I don't expect very much from the current leadership of the gop.

No, you offer *nothing* to conservatives but expect their votes anyway.

After all, you're only undermining the US form of government, it's not like you're actively trying to destroy it like the Democrats.

Liberalism is a disease. If you aren't going to attempt a cure, it will be forced upon you.

Reagan was far too conservative to be considered a candidate today by the likes of the current crapheads in the RNC.

I've made my point using clear, simple English. This analogy stinks.

Go take your meds son. You are a newbie here. You don't get to ask your elders questions about why there are here.

The question is, how do you get to make so many posts with the attendants watching?
