Call the WHite HOuse to Thank Bush for CFR!!!

Posted on 12/10/2003 1:09:18 PM PST by Maceman

For what good it will do, I just called the White House switchboard (202-456-1111) and conveyed my extreme outrage at Bush for not vetoing CFR when he had the chance.

I hope you all will do the same.

BTW, the operator told me "you are not alone."

Let's shut down the WH switchboard with howls of protest.

If I wasn't still even more terrified of the Democrats than I am of the Republicans (albeit barely at this point), I would never support Bush in '04 after this.

This is a good idea. I'm also going to mention my feelings about the AWB too.

In a short time it will be President Dean's White House thanks to "numnuts" Dubya.

Not that I really believe that these calls will do much good anyway, but my sense is that it would be better if you stuck to one issue per call. You can always call back another time about the AWB.

Why all the outrage about the Council on Foreign Relations and the Average White Band?

CFR and AWB? Is this like AM and FM or AC and DC?

You just picked my brain! I'm outraged that Bush didn't have the guts to veto this. It's time to do more than close down the WH switchboard. It is time to start removing judges.

Ummm...only if you don't go out and vote for him. The result today actually helps us out vis-a-vis the Democrats.

Nevertheless, there was no reason to sign that law.

Well, there's only so much you can accomplish in one afternoon.

I've called my senators. This law needs repeal.

Trouble is, Teddy Kennedy and John Kerry no longer take my phone calls.

Geez. For all you acronymically challenged, CFR stands for CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM.

The Senators are useless. They support the law because it keeps them in power.

There is no reason for me to vote for Bush in 2004. I voted for Reagan in 1980 and Republicans ever since. I'm done with the Republican Party. When Dean gets in, remember that Dubya stabbed us in the back. By the way, who the hell is "us"? The Constitution got screwed today and you're rearanging the proverbial chairs on the deck of the Titanic. Have fun. I'm gone.

Meaning what, exactly. You think this is no big deal? Really?

Obviously, since all THREE branches of government supported CFR, it must be a good thing. (cough, gag)
