Senator says she's surprised by Bush agenda
The Associated Press
Web Posted : 12/05/2003 4:17 PM
New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, in Texas for a book signing and to raise money for her campaign war chest, said Friday that President Bush won her husband's old job by running a campaign that masked his true leanings.
"We've made a hard right turn to pursue an extremist agenda that was certainly not advertised by the campaign President Bush ran," the former first lady said in an interview with the Austin American-Statesman before her book-signing.
"There's very little compassion," she said of Bush's much-touted compassionate conservatism. "There's even very little conservatism because a true conservative would not have put us into a half-trillion dollar current account deficit."
Clinton said she will not be entering the 2004 presidential race.
She said the Bush administration has tried "to undo everything the Clinton administration had done, and I took that kind of personally."
"Just on every front it became clear to me they wanted to undo the New Deal. It wasn't just the Clinton administration," she said.
Clinton attended a Thursday evening fund-raising event in Austin at the home of local advertising executive Roy Spence, who said about $100,000 was collected for Clinton's political account.
At Book People on Friday, hundreds of people lined up to get signed copies of her book, "Living History."

"She makes me want to scream. I cannot stand to even look at her. She really makes me want to hit her right in the face. Forgive me Lord.
"
Then you'd better not tune in to any of the Sunday political talk shows...all three networks (CBS, ABC, and NBC) will have her on! For some reason, she's skipping FOX. I just can't wait to hear all those reeeeeally tough questions Russert and Steffy ask her!

I think even Eleanor would be revolted.
Maybe not.

because a true conservative would not have put us into a half-trillion dollar current account deficit." And a Real American who loved their country,as Co-President, wouldn't have ( by executive order no less) made it a crime for CIA agents to gain information from 'less than scrupulous' foreigners. You Madam, are as responsible/guilty for the Twin Towers coming down as your husband, after all you yourself were the first 'first lady' to have their own west wing office. You are one wretched human.

She makes me want to scream. I cannot stand to even look at her. She really makes me want to hit her right in the face. Forgive me Lord Her own husband had to hide her for two yrs., after her socialized medicine debachle. Nary a peep out of this witch for almost two yrs. She went back to baking cookies, and reading bedtime stories to children. When she makes her move, we have to defeat her, she is pure evil.!!

Miss Hitlery is a determined liar. She tells lie after lie just to see if one of them will grab the public's attention. Miss Hitlery expects to be drafted as the Democratic presidential nominee at the convention next summer. She is busily skipping the primaries.
